The recommended way to signify a Tippler that's been promoted to Jester is with a colorful origami hat. You can find instructions for doing so here.

Made it to level 4 tonight, hoping to finish it up tomorrow. I'm really enjoying it, and it's quite unlike anything I've played before both in terms of world-building and mechanics. Learning how to smoothly transition between driving and shooting to kite the enemies around was really satisfying. The indirect control makes it feel a little like a real-time strategy game. I was never able to enjoy RTS games due to ADHD, so this is like an RTS built for me cuz I only have one unit to worry about 😁

I struggled a bit at the first boss, but the checkpoint was really friendly and I didn't get frustrated. Before long, I realized the pillars must be in that room for a reason, so I tried hiding behind them, which is when I discovered I don't need line-of-sight to shoot at my target. Getting revenge as the boss bounced helplessly against the pillar was very satisfying, and it was cool to organically discover this tactical depth. Learning how to incorporate the boost and flash abilities was also fun, and by the end (after some juggling practice) I was cancelling enemy bullets and circle-dashing around them like a pro. I'm a little intimidated by what I imagine the last level holds, but I look forward to finishing it and seeing what's in store for the characters. Extra big thanks for sending a version that'll run on my crappy old computer 🙏

It works! Playing it tonight, thank you :)

No prob, here's my DxDiag report, I think all the relevant info is in there https://bluelander.neocities.org/DxDiag.txt

If there's anything else that would help just let me know

There's a big gray box blocking most of the view for me :( The whole screen was gray until I tried turning the FOV up, once it was >70 I was able to see that it is in fact rendering something, but even at max I can't see enough to play. I had to use --rendering-driver opengl3  to get it to run at all. I figure the answer is "I need a new computer" but I wanted to let you know in case this is useful. Let me know if you want more info about my setup. (The opening cutscene ran smoothly.)

Thanks so much for the kind words and the great feedback! It always feels good to learn that something worked out as well as it did in my head

Great collection! Honored to be a part of it 💙🧡

Thanks!

Sorry if this is a silly question, but for platforms that support emoji (like Twine) do these count as graphics?

Thanks so much!

I loved this book. Thank you for writing it, and thanks for making community copies available. It makes taking a chance on unfamiliar work a lot easier, and I'm so glad I did. I paid it forward, and I'm looking forward to reading your other stories 🙏

Thanks so much!

This looks cool :) Do you have a palette file to use when playing in an emulator, or is there one you recommend? I'd like to play with the intended colors if possible

Edit: Never mind, my emulator doesn't pick up the palette information unless it's explicitly loaded as a gameboy color rom. I changed the extension to .gbc and it works as intended. Sorry for the confusion

If you have Java installed, you can just double-click Juego.jar to start the game or Creacion.jar to start the editor

If you don't have Java installed, you need it.  https://java.com/en/download/

Hi, I discovered MYA in the bundle for racial justice, just wanted to say this is a really cool project! The world needs a visual novel maker that's as easy to use as Twine, this has a lot of potential. Hope you're able to keep working on it!

Thank you!

Ah ok, apparently my archiver only supports LZMA2 for some reason. Very odd. Thanks for the help!

Hi, when I try to extract the zip file I get the error "unsupported compression method" on most of the files in the archive. Here's the full error log: https://paste.ee/p/eb09x

This looks adorable, but I get a bug in the Windows version. It says "Data folder not found - There should be 'FetchWIN1.0_Data' folder next to the executable" even though it's there. Hope you can get it sorted out!
