Whatever you are using to zip these up with, its making the zips impossible to open on linux. Please consider using a different archiver that respects the standard.
PeaZip (a GUI program) on Linux works nicely for me. I seem to recall that there are known issues with the standard Linux unzip that do not handle zip files over 4GB very well. Since much of the code for unzip dates back to when 4GB drives were large and 64-bit systems were mostly high end systems, this is not a huge surprise.
linux is a custom operating system,. you need a custom solution for your non-standard computer. standard computers have no issues, on any of the various operating systems.
