Was the resolution a challenge?
in my case the resolution wasn't a challenge. the resolution helped me to have more levels and make more advanced graphics becuse i had to render less pixels.
What did you learn?
i've learned to not overscope projects.
my game was going to have 4 bosses and 2 game modes and i ended with 1 boss and 1 mode. also i learned that sine shifter effect is cool!

Difficult, but fun~ This game also has a lot of style in the background visuals and music that makes it stand out so well- I'm happy I found this one to play!

Cute art! I love how this game is unapologetically psychedelic.
It do wish the control scheme on the keyboard worked differently. It felt somewhat awkward to shoot with z and jump with s. I would consider changing where those commands are on the keyboard so control is more ergonomic.

That's weird, in my keyboard I shoot with z and jump with x. However, it is not possible to change the controls. It is one of the limitations of pico8. I'm thinking for next jams to use another engine that is less restrictive.

Yeah... I tried to balance it so that 75% of the times I played it I could win, but I think I made it too difficult.
Maybe when the jam is finished I will make some changes to make the game easier, like making the levels slower or making the jetpack more powerful to be able to reposition yourself better.
This was really fun and unique! And hard! Loved the upgrades, the challenge, the franticness & the trippy vibes.
Probably just me but I found it very difficult. That said I can see it's had a lot of care and attention and the procedural level design is a really nice touch. Well done!
Oh yeah, this is my jam. I love the weapon and jetpack physics. The levels come together and feel frantic every run. Something about the breakable blocks and the floatiness remind me of Kirby, but it packs a wallop with juicy combat akin to Gonner. Really well done, one of my favorites of the jam so far.

I knew I had taken the mechanic of jumping on top of enemies from another game but I didn't remember it was Gonner.
The trippy visuals and color pallete was appealing. Honestly I found the controls a little bit stiff and the levels a bit too crowded. Other than that, good job sir!
Fun controls with really nice effects and music. It was hard, but enjoyable!

Really neat idea! Addicting game play but was really.... really difficult! i think this could be an awesome project if you work it and balance it a bit more!
