Had fun playing, the art was really good, some of the smoothest pixel art I've seen on the jam. The mechanic was really creative and interesting, and the puzzles were tricky and creative. A lot of it was pretty unnecessarily frustrating, especially dying because you swapped into a rock while it was shooting, and the hitboxes felt a little off. Maybe make it so the rocks don't shoot and maybe add in another enemy? Overall, fantastic art, really cool mechanic, decent controls, but still felt it could be polished up a little more. If you have time would you mind checking out our game? Thanks.
Neat game! Mechanics were a bit tricky at first, so I died a lot.
Cool game! Loved the graphics and sounds!
thanks!
Great work! Such a creative idea and a very fun execution. I love the art, too. I do think the game cutting to black was a sudden way to end it, but I can get it due to time limitations.
haha it was a bug
if gamemaker has a game crashing bug it just turns black when its on web form and it turned out my sine variable was not set before reading or something like that
This was a cute little with some nice simple ideas and well done execution. I liked the mechanic of switching locations, which does implement the theme in a different way than what you intially think about. I don't think it was neccessary to make the rocks shoot at the player as it just kind of disturbs the puzzle solving and doesn't add worthwhile challenge (perhaps it could have been good if the things that enemies shoot at the player could have been used fo puzzle solving). Also more levels would have been nice, but for the limited time of the jam this is a well made game.
thank you so much for writing this! i agree, the rocks shooting you was a bit unecessary on its own. i really wanted to solidify that they were enemies you were swapping with to fit to the theme, but it ended up being frustrating to players. I really like your idea as using that as a mechanic, but I'm not sure how lmao. thanks so much though, your critique is much appreciated!
Good looking game with some solid puzzles.
thank you!
Fun game ! Hard to master the mechanics :)
i know what you mean haha
Lovely artstyle and fun mechanics :)
thanks!
wow! your graphics are so cool!
thank you!
Loved the art and the puzzles were all really engaging!
holy brain
holy scuffed
10/10 i love it, great job!
A neat little puzzle-platformer game overall and I dig the visuals too! The controls were a little tricky at the start but I did get the hang of it.
controls should be fixed after the jam!
Very nice visuals! It does feel off that the rocks have to be in the bubble in order for you to bounce off of it.
well otherwise you would just fall through then wouldnt you...
I like the idea, the art, and the sound. But I don't like how the game screen doesn't fit on full screen.
Amazing. Great overall.
fun, the art style is on point too!
Nice visuals and gameplay, but I don't see how this fits the theme.
Thrown rocks flying through the walls also seem strange.
lmao forgot to code that
That was fun and you had some unique mechanics! definitely needs some more levels, and i think that one level where you have to quickly position the rocks to make the jump to the door should be last cause it was the hardest
What an interesting take on the game jam theme! Love love LOVEE the aesthetics and sound design, very well done!
thanks so much! sounds were a lot of fun to make and im so glad you liked the art!
