I hate not having seen this game before, I'm sorry, but I loved it!
Just one question, how many endings does it have? I only got the 'Cooler hat' ending, haha, amazing."
There are four different endings, there is one better than the hat ending that noone seems to have got yet!
Ok, I accept the challenge
Thank you to everyone who left feedback, it's the most valuable thing I could ask for. I tried to play and rate everyone's games too, they were a lot of fun.
one of the most polished and one of my favorites! I find the "long wing" sections the most fun.
Good job! :)
Thank you! I'm with you on the long wing sections... but most people seem to find them the hardest, haha.
Nicely done! I like that you used the theme in multiple ways. The art and overall aesthetic of the game was really good too. Great job!
This was really great! I haven't played many of these jam games to the end. But I did this one! Funny and fun and satisfying physics. Music and graphics were both really solid.
This was awesome! I'd seen some of your social posts and was looking forward to playing it, and it was even more fun than I expected. I loved the valet's sad eyes and sighs. The personalities of the characters and their kooky vehicles were funny. Having each ship have its own challenges was a really cool idea. The controls were perfect and you nailed the theme. Excellent job!
That was cool! The mechanics and level design are very polished.
The font is a bit hard to read in long stretches.
Great work!
Very nice visuals, interesting gameplay. Overall a very good and fun game!
Great game! You show different mechanics, perfect for a jam.
111.38 buckaroos and a cool new hat to boot! I quite liked this game. Great concept which fits the theme both through locale and gameplay. The different variations of gameplay adjustments was interesting and fun. And the dialogue was funny too. Great job!
Really fun game. Simple core idea but each level made it into something slightly different, brilliant!
I'm usually trying to point out some issues when commenting but this one feels like it's just right. It is what it needs to be and I don't see anything that clearly needs to be improved (font is hard too read, I guess?).
Thank you! Iterating on simple mechanics is fun, you did a good job of it too!
WOW, that was frustrating! (In a good way, fun frustrating,
funstrating)Who the heck designed this parking lot anyway? ☠
Good game, 100% gameboy feel. Consistent art design, pleasant music.
Challenging but fair gameplay, nice difficulty increase in progressing levels. (i appreciate the signs with arrows!)
Solid (double!) space themed Gameboy game, well done!
Thanks! I designed the parking lot so I am responsible for the alien's suffering and yours! Mwahaha!
Sweet game, I thought the concept was hilarious! Really cool to see different gameplay mechanics and obstacles in each level.
Thank you! By the way, if anyone is reading this, you should be playing Unknown Space instead...
<3
Cool game! The controls are the right amount of slippery yet fair.
Thank you! I'm glad it wasn't too painful!
Absolutely adore this! Fun, funny, and there's a surprise every level. Fantastic work!
Thank you for playing!
One of my favorite submissions I've come across.
-Lots of charm and humor, I went through this with a big smile on my face.
-Gameplay is the fun kind of frustrating, which is well justified by the game's theme.
-Lots of different ideas have been mined out of the central premise (each level feels distinct)
-The little jingles at the start and end of each level are a lovely little touch.
A few very minor nitpicks.
- The third level is harder than the level on either side of it. May need re-arranging.
-The font is kind of hard to read, and for the in-between level text that can be an issue.
- There is no incentive to play well once your tip hits zero. Perhaps introducing a failure state if you go too deep in the red, or having to pay for late / damaged arrival could continue to keep the player honest.
Thanks for the feedback! I agree some kind of failure state could make things more interesting, but I have learned from past jams that accessibility is important. Most people are playing a lot of different games and aren't here for a huge challenge.
Definitely. Far more important that people feel like they see what a game has to offer, especially when a game has as much to offer as yours does :)
This was great! I love the alien character and how each level has a little bit of funny narrative framing, and the gameplay is super intuitive. The tip system is great for encouraging repeat playthroughs while still allowing anyone to get through the game on first play. Awesome stuff!
Thank you! That was definitely the idea behind the tip system, you nailed it!
