Single Layer Challenge at Come and Get It

The challenge at Come and Get It this week is to create a single layered card.  Bugaboo is  our Sponsors and I have used an imaged called JJ call me a witch.

I coloured my card with Copics and added some glitter and Diamond Glaze to complete the card.   Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.

Enjoy the Gifts of Nature

I love this image from SLS Lines called Fantasy Fox Shaman Medicine Woman and decided to make a art journal page using it.  I think Sal created a very stunning image. I coloured the medicine woman with PanPastels and Copic Markers.

The background of the art journal page was painted, stamped and stenciled.  The top of the page is a gelli print which I used packing tape to remove the design from the gelli plate and I also added some feathers.  The sentiment is by  Inkadinkado which has been in my collection of rubber for a very long time.

Be sure to check out the stamps at SLS Lines as Sal will be discontinuing her stamps soon.  We are sorry to see her go, so be sure to grab the stamps you love from her store before they are gone forever.

Thank you for stopping by and have a very creative day.

Write Your Story - Layer It Up

Time for another challenge at Crafty Cardmakers this month and the theme is layer it up.  Time to show us your creativity and add lots of layers to your card or project.

I have used a piece of my gell print paper from my stash that is in yellows, purple, white and gold for my background. I love using my gell plate to get a layered back ground.  Next I used several rubber stamps over the gell print to give the card interest and texture.

My final layers were the added images that I stamped, inked, coloured and die cut or cut to create the top layers.  Some of the stamps were by Tim Holtz along with Tim Holtz, Inkadinkado, Rubber Stampede, and Toy Box.

Fridge Magnets

The theme for this month's challenge at Eclectic Ellapu for the purple team is "New Beginnings".  Celebrating new home, new baby, new job.....  I decided to make some mixed media fridge magnets to celebrate a new home.  It was kind of fun making some funky houses and I made them all different showing different stills of new homes.

I used bits and pieces of left over gelli print papers for most of the magnets backgrounds. I had fun using different techniques and I hand drew some of the houses .

Thank you for stopping by and have a creative day.  Remember to stop by Eclectic Ellapu's blog to see the projects of the design teams.  Remember there are two different challenges at the first of every month.

Altered Box - Art on the Go

Time  for another challenge at Altered Eclectics this month, as always it is another Anything Goes challenge as long as it is mixed media or altered art.    I am headed out in September on a 3 month RV trip to New Mexico and Utah and thought I would alter a box to put so of my crafting supplies in while travelling.

I found this box to alter at a flea market.

I decoupaged pieces of maps from an old atlas I had for the first layer of my box then collages dollar store gems and added some wonderful original sentiments from Chris Stern of CS Designs. CS designs has some beautiful sentiments along with unique digital stamps.

More views of the altered box.
