Happy new year with an ePattern giveaway

**Thanks all for playing along!  The giveaway is now closed.  Could Liz A and Kelly please email me at [email protected] and I can send you your patterns. ***

I did it!

I FINALLY created a PDF version of the Fair Weather Jacket sewing pattern in children's sizes 5-8.

Photobucket

It is available in my shop now, but before you hop over there, I thought I would offer up a free copy to two readers here on IndieTutes.

Photobucket

To enter to win a free copy of the Fair Weather Jacket ePattern (pdf) in sizes 5-8, please leave a comment below.  I will randomly select two commenters this evening, after the kids are in bed, approximately 9:30pm mst.

Photobucket

If you would rather have a copy of the sewing pattern in children's sizes 2-4, please state so in you comment.  It is the same jacket pattern, just for smaller people.

Photobucket

You can always visit my shop for more sewing ePatterns for children.  I send them typically within a few hours of purchase and definitely within 24 hours.

(Just as a heads up, over the next few months I will be releasing a new line of patterns and retiring some of the older ones.  If there is a particular pattern that you've been meaning to try, I would recommend getting ahold of it soon-ish.)

If you are feeling nervous about trying ePatterns for the first time, there are several patterns available on IndieTutes for free, where you can check out how to print and assemble and ePattern at your leisure.  Try the Solar Dress ePattern to become aquianted with downloading and reassembling pattern pieces.  I am always here for questions and comments, just email me at [email protected] or [email protected].

Thank you everyone for stopping by and entering the giveaway.

Happy New Year!

**If you would like to see more Fair Weather Jackets, check out the Flickr and Photobucket pools to see what people have made.  Feel free to add your photos of what you have made from Little Print Designs patterns and IndieTutes tutorials**

Garden Alley sweet linen baby loafers giveaway

Y'all remember Lena from Lena's Patterns?  Who makes the patterns for these sublime little shoes?  You remember how generous she was with her not one, not two, but three pattern giveaway last month?

Oh, good, I knew you'd remember.  Yes, I think she's pretty neat too.  My kids really love her kimono shoes.

Okay, now look at these:

Photobucket

I know!  Darling, right?!

Want to win a pair?

No, not the pattern (though you can find that here).  I meant, would you like to win the actual shoes?

Yes?  Yes!

Of course you do!  These wee linen loafers come in sizes 0 to 24 months.  They are made by Garden Alley, which is really Lena, who creates them by hand from pattern to final button with almost all natural materials (there is a layer of thick poly needle felt to keep the feet warm against cool surfaces).  I think they're beautiful and love the wooden buttons.

Photobucket

What's that?  Just tell you how to get these gorgeous loafers onto your sweet baby's feet?

Alright, settle down.

For a chance to win these lovely linen loafers by Garden Alley, leave a comment below telling me how much you love them.  Feel free to add any additional words about your love for me too, if you're feeling inclined.  I warn you, though, flattery will not affect the outcome as I will make a random draw on Wednesday evening, May 25 (after I return from house shopping... again.  But that is another story for another day).

Good luck!

********************

Well, hello again!  I have drawn a random comment.  Seeks, darhling, can you get a hold of me at vegbee[AT]littleprintdesigns.com and I can connect you with a sweet little pair of loafers.

Thank you to everyone to played along and a double thank you to Lena and Garden Alley!

Lena's Patterns Giveaway

One afternoon
Two little children hushed off to sleep
Four small feet to cover

Birdie has always loved Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown, but even more so, for reasons I've yet to fathom, he loves the derivative Goodnight Moon 123 even more.  I read this book to him every day.  Twice.

Photobucket

So, when I got a hold of the Indietutes sponsor Lena's Patterns Mary Jane Shoes, like the little old lady who lived in shoe, I knew just what to do.

Photobucket

I loved this shoe pattern by Lena.  Birdie loves them too.  He's been wearing his Goodnight Moon counting shoes since the moment I put them on his feet.

Photobucket

We are seriously crushing on these shoes!

Now, before you run down to the bottom of the post to enter the giveaway for Lena's Patterns you know is coming, hold on a moment to see what my friendly neighborhood princess ballerina is now sporting on her royal nimble tootsies.

Photobucket

It thrills me that I was able to make shoes for a toddler and a six year old from the same pattern.

Photobucket

Princess Smootch's new slippers have already given several enthusiastic performances.

Photobucket

And now, at the end of the day here, I can hear The Man in other room arguing with both children, trying to convince them to take off their new shoes for bed.

Thank you Lena for a fantastic pattern!

Goodnight children.
Goodnight footwear.
Goodnight creative people everywhere.

****************************

PhotobucketI know you are eager to try out Lena's patterns and she is very generously offering up a giveaway.

One sponsor
Two winners
Three patterns each!

Photobucket
If you would like to enter for a chance to win no less than three patterns (your choice) from Lena's Patterns, leave a comment below telling us a favorite book in your house.

I will draw two random entries on Wednesday April 6th, approximately 2:00 pm MST.

Be sure to check out all of Lena's fabulous patterns, ready shoes, applique, blog and facebook.

******************************

Thanks all for playing!  The giveaway is now closed.

I have drawn two entries, Tez (from Alberta!) and Deena (yay CSA!).  Congratulations ladies.  I need your contact info so Lena can send your patterns to you.  Please send me a note at vegbee[at]littleprintdesigns.com

And thank you again Lena for your generousity!

Stay tuned for another sponsor giveaway later on this month :)

Spitfire Playdress ePattern giveaway

Hi All!

I've made the draw.  Congratuations to Laura, who is so hardcore she repaired her own serger (that just makes me tingley all over!)

Laura, I've just sent an email your way.  You should let me know if you did not receive it.

Everyone else, thank you thank you for the very sweet comments and for playing along :)

*******************************************************

I will be very soon putting up a new pattern for sale on Etsy.  Before you all go rushing over to buy it, because I'm sure you will, hold on for a minute.  I want to tell you a bit about it first and then get you to enter my giveaway for a free pdf pattern.

Photobucket

The Spitfire Playdress is a simple shape, designed for easy sewing and comfortable wear, in US children's sizes 3-8. Smootch calls these tee-shirt dresses her 'derby dresses' because she says she likes to wear them while roller skating. All I know is that it's the first thing she'll reach for in her drawer in the morning and it's incredible hard to make her sit still to get a proper photo.

Photobucket

In stretchy and soft knit fabric, this playdress has a classic tee shirt top that gently slops into a mid-thigh length dress and ends with a girlie (and super fast) lettuce edge ruffle.  Perfect for girls who have some serious playing to do and the sewer who wants to make something their girl will love but does not have a lot of time.
Looks great with leggings, pants or plain bare legs and it's easy to slip on and off (no back buttons or zippers) for those dress-up crazed fashionista princesses.

Photobucket

For those of you who asked for a pattern to accompany this tutorial, this pdf pattern also includes instructions on how to use the pattern to reconstruct an adult xl tee shirt into the Spitfire Playdress.

Photobucket

So, there you go: simple, easy, fast, comfortable, happy.

If you would like to enter the ePattern free giveaway, leave a comment at the bottom.  I will make a random draw on Tuesday night (March 8) after I get the kidlets into bed (about 9:00 pm MST).
