Simple random sampling technique was adopted for the study with questionnaire as instrument for data collection. There are seven selected departments in the Faculty of Education in both Universities. A sample fraction of 12% was used to get the sample size of 350. Data was analyzed using descriptive statistics consisting of tables of frequency and percentages and Statistical Packages for Social Sciences (SPSS) for the research questions. The findings revealed that in UI (63.6%) Internet café, Departmental computer lab and University hostels were their access points of Internet, while in OAU (47.0%) home and University hostel were access points of Internet. Findings also revealed that undergraduate students in both universities use the Internet daily, while the least frequency of use of Internet was once in a month respectively. The study revealed that how to use electronic books and slow access speed was the major factors affecting Internet usage in UI (38.8%) and in AU. Librarians are using the latest social media technology in marketing their information products and services to the library patrons. The aim of this study is investigating the library patrons' usage of social media in a Nigerian University Library; and the instrument for data collection was a questionnaire of Two hundred and thirty-eight copies and the usable rate of returned responses was 87% of the anticipated responses. The findings revealed that Whatsapp and facebook were greatly used as it creates current awareness on the happening in the institution; it also established that social media enabled students to access local and web contents of information needs globally. The findings revealed that critical social media literacy is needed to help students to critically deal with the large amounts of information they interact with by sharing its content on social media. Furthermore, the research provides information on how this technology can be fully exploited for the benefits of the students and community at large.

Through observations and interviews the paper highlighted some common trends of deviance and the implication on library utility in selected universities. The study reveals a gap in the security of students' personal effects, inadequate electricity supply and a wide range of deviant behaviours associated with the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the library. The impact of these lapses thus put much pressure on both librarians and students users. The study recommends proper funding of libraries to enable the adoption of a 21 st Century Library Model which guarantees a variety of spatial and safety arrangements in curbing the menace of deviants in library utilization.

A survey method was used and questionnaire was the instrument used to collect data from two hundred(200) library user, out of which 180 responded giving a response rate of 90 percent, the study found that the library acquire some selected online databases which include NUC virtual library, SAGE, HINARI, Ebscohost, USPE e-library and open access databases. The study identified different purpose of online searching to include using yahoo and Google search engine and other online databases to do their research work and recommended that the library should create awareness about the database they subscribed to, most students are not aware of the importance of these databases to their academic advancement.
