The cointegration between variables is investigated by Pedroni, Kao and Westerlund tests and the long-term coefficients are determined by Driscoll-Kraay standard errors forecasters. Finally, the causality relationship between variables is tested in the Dumitrescu-Hurlin panel bootstrap approach. Empirical findings indicate the existence of cointegration between variables. The banking sector performance, financial globalization and investments have a statistically significant positive effect on economic development, while the trade openness has a meaninglessly positive effect. They also indicate a two-way causality between the economic development and banking sector performance and investments, and a one-way causality running from trade openness to economic development. Therefore, the findings make political recommendations for both policymakers and future studies.

In this context, the transition to a zero-emission economy remains one of the environmental sustainability goals of policymakers. The literature investigating the tourism-environmental pollution relationship has limited emphasis on the role of green technological innovation. Therefore, this study explores the effect of tourism and green technological innovation on CO 2 emissions in top 15 most visited countries during the period of 1995-2019. Renewable energy consumption, financial development and economic growth are integrated into the CO 2 emissions equation as control variables. The cointegration tests verify the existence of a cointegration between variables. The long-run estimaters reveal that tourism, green technological innovation and renewable energy consumption serve to improve environmental quality by reducing CO 2 emissions. Contrary to these findings, financial development and economic growth play a role in the increase of CO 2 emissions implying a deterioration in environmental quality. The bootstrap causality analysis points to a bidirectional causality between tourism and CO 2 emissions and between green technological innovation and CO 2 emissions. The findings will make important contributions to policy makers in these countries in meeting their CO 2 emissions reduction targets.

The purpose of this study is to evaluate and rank the performance of 46 global cities in the Global Power City Index for 2022 in terms of the GPCI functions of Economy, Research and Development, Cultural Interaction, Livability, Environment and Accessibility and Quality of Life using multi-criteria decision making (MCDM) method. In the study, the weights of the performance criteria are first determined with the CRITIC method and then the cities are ranked according to their performance by applying the Gray Relational Analysis (GRA) method. Empirical findings show that the most important criterion is CM (Climate index) and the least important criterion is PI (Purchasing power index). Furthermore, the findings of the GIA method indicate that in 2022, London ranks first, Frankfurt second and New York third, while Mumbai is the last ranked global city. These findings thus provide important recommendations for policymakers and investors.

In the study, firstly, the stationarity properties of the variables are examined by KPSS, ADF and Ng-Perron tests, and the presence of cointegration between the variables is investigated through the ARDL boundary test. Then, the long-run elasticities of the independent series are estimated by applying the ARDL model and the causality linkage among the series is detected through VECM method. Empirical findings show that there is cointegration among the variables and that in Turkey, banks’ domestic credit, CO2 emissions, average rainfall and increase in cereal production area increase cereal production, while average temperature increase reduces cereal production. At the same time, it is determined that there is a bidirectional causality between banks’ domestic credit, CO2 ...

Since the development of the airline sector increases economic activities, employment and income increase, thus contributing to the companies serving airline companies. For this reason, it is necessary to determine whether the company's financial resources are used effectively. Company executives and investors also want to follow the financial performance of airline companies and have information about the financial status of the company. For this reason, the situation of the companies is observed by performing different analyzes from time to time. In this context, within the scope of the study, it is aimed to measure the financial performance of 6 airline operators operating in Europe between the periods of 2019-2021. For performance measurement, 8 financial criteria were used: current ratio, cash ratio, financial leverage ratio, equity multiplier, asset turnover rat...

In this study, the cointegration between the variables is checked with the ARDL bound test and the Johansen cointegration method. The long-term coefficients are estimated through the ARDL model. Finally, the causal linkage among the participation index performance and traditional stock market index, short-term interest rate, money supply, and the inflation rate is tested with the Toda-Yamamoto causality method. The main empirical findings are shown as in the following: 1) there is cointegration between the Participation index performance and traditional stock market index, short-term interest rate, money supply, and inflation rate under the structural break, 2) the traditional stock market index and money supply improve the Participation index performance in Turkish economy while short-term interest r...

In this context, gender discrimination is one of the most important problems that prevents the development of societies. Gender discrimination in terms of working life is the exclusion of women, although it does not affect the performance of work, and as a result, the power, satisfaction level, and income in the workplace are shared among men. Gender discrimination can be in the form of paying different wages for the same job, or it can occur in the form of individuals with equal efficiency having different jobs corresponding to different levels of pay. The aim of the study is to reveal the place of women working in Turkey in the labor market and the unfairness of wages they face. In this context, the study is important for providing proposals to prevent wage inequality in Turkey.

Therefore, businesses must ensure a radical transformation in their infrastructure in order to keep up with the competitive environment. When establishing an accounting information system in enterprises, it should be ensured that the system can produce complete and uninterrupted information. However, one consequence of the digitalization process in accounting information systems is that the need for accounting personnel tends to decrease day by day. The aim of this study is to examine the digital developments in accounting and financial consultancy services and to emphasize the need for accounting engineering, which can contribute the most to these developments In this context, the structure and consequences of gender differences of individuals working in the accounting profession were examined.
