It is not only that they have played an essential role in the establishment of great philosophical schools, but also the continuation of the philosophical tradition of Islam and the introduction of new philosophical theories have been one of their most important works, which cause independence and distinction of Islamic philosophy and wisdom that is derived from Greek philosophy. Islamic philosophers such as Farabi, Ibn Sina, Khwaja Nasiruddin Tousi, Suhrawardi, Mirdamad, Mulla Sadra, Allamah Tabatabaei, Ibn Arabi and Ghazali have their point of views about light sequentially. It is noteworthy that among these philosophers, Ibn Sina is the founder of Islamic wisdom, Suhrawardi is the founder of Ishrak, and Mullah Sadra is the founder of Islamic transcendental wisdom. Suhrawardi was the first philosopher who, by establishing a new philosophical school called Hikmat Eshraq centered on light, was able to create a new philosophical trend with an Enlightenment orientation or Illuminationism philosophy in Iran and some Islamic nations of the Middle East which is still continuing and radiating. Gestalt pedagogy in visual perception interacts theoretically, philosophically, psychologically and functionally with each other and with other perceptions.
The most important factor in identifying any product is its shape. The explicit meaning of a product is its functional use and any object whose form refers to its use will be meaningful to the viewers. Recognizing the elements and making a message in the language of objects causes their effects in creating a relationship between form and functions and their meanings. Knowing what makes the proportion between the initial element and the final message helps one gain a better understanding of cultures. The functions of an element and its specific relationship with the environment are among the factors that create symbols. Cypress is one of the trees that has become an important symbol in its environment due to its characteristics. This article has tried to determine the functions and characteristics of this plant in different geographical areas, in various cultures and times by examining the literature. Then, with the intertextual semiotics approach, the reasons for turning this tree into a symbol are investigated. In order to conduct this research, the primary information was collected through the library method and review of available sources. The analysis of the obtained data was done, using intertextual semiotics. Cypress conveys a message in various fields such as painting, industry, literature and ethics due to its form and content (disinfection properties, strength, evergreen and lack of fruit); this has made it a symbol in different cultures and different geographical areas.
