Study Design: Descriptive. Place and Duration of Study: Sahid Institute of Tourism, Pondok Cabe, Tangerang, between February 2018 and July 2018. Methodology: The resource persons were students of Sahid Institute of Tourism who already had businesses and numbered 18 people, consisting of 11 men and 7 women, with an average age of 21-29 years, from the hotels department of 12 persons and from tourism management majors 2 persons. They are 12 entrepreneurs in the food and beverage sector, 2 people in the entertainment sector, 1 person is an entrepreneur in the field of clothing. 2 persons in the field of tourist travel services and 1 person in the field of catfish seedlings. The research method used was the survey method using a questionnaire containing closed questions, then recapitulated and described and linked using the theory used. Questionnaire distributed online.

The growth of information and technology has given significant influence on the tourism industry ... more The growth of information and technology has given significant influence on the tourism industry and system, both positive and negative impacts. As of now, through social media, tourists and destinations or tourism attractions may interact with one another, monitor, and give opinions, as well as evaluate every form of service given firsthand, by various internet platforms. One of the heritage site tourism attractions that utilize social media in attracting tourists' interest is Kota Tua. This study aims to identify social media used by the Kota Tua tourism area manager as a media to promote; furthermore, this study compares the performance of each social media platforms. Also, this study examines the influence of social media toward tourist motivation in visiting Kota Tua Jakarta. The approach utilized in this study is quantitative with a descriptive method. Whereas the sampling technique used is incidental sampling with the number of involved respondents of 100 people. Gathered data is then analyzed through linear regression analysis method by using SPPS v.25.0 program. Linear regression analysis is conducted to see if there are any social media influences Short Research Article Damanik et al.; CJAST, 36(6): 1-14, 2019; Article no.CJAST.50495 2 toward the tourist motivation of visit. This study has found that visitors that come to Kota Tua are mostly high school students, whereas the most frequently used type of social media to access information about Kota Tua is Instagram. The result of data analysis also shows that there is indeed a correlation between social media variable with the tourist motivation of visit to Kota Tua Jakarta. This study is expected to be a reference related to the role of social media for the tourism industry, especially historical heritage attractions. The limitations of this study are respondents who are limited and cannot represent or be generalized as domestic tourists in general (Indonesian scope).

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah sebagai input dalam proses pembangunan daerah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode action research.Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan, kuesioner, wawancara, dan observasi lapangan. Analisis data dilakukan secara secara deskriptif kualitatif menggunakan analisis SWOT. Dari hasil penelitian diidentifikasi beberapa daya tarik wisata serta diketahui pandangan positif masyarakat terhadap perencanaan pariwisata.Adapun model perencanaan pariwisata yang disarankan dari penelitian ini adalah menggunakan konsep eco-cultural, yaitu konsep pembangunan daerah yang berwawasan lingkungan dan budaya.

A pastry cook is required to have skill because with the skill the operation will went smoothly and the resulting product will be in accordance with existing standard. In this research, author using a qualitative method. Author also discuss about how the skill effect towards pastry cook performance in Pastry Department at Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers and how facilities, infrastructure and raw materials effected improved performace in Pastry Department at Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers. In this final project, author using likert scale for questionnaire for pastry cook in Pastry Department at Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers as a samples in acquisition of research data to find out how the skill effect towards pastry cook performance. In this final project author using SPSS ver.20.0 for processing the data to find out how the skill effect towards pastry cook performance in Padtry Department at Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers. Based on the results of questionnaires and observations author during on the job training in Departemen Pastry, skill possessed still lacking. Pastry cook skills possessed more dominant in terms of accuracy, while to produce a good performance the accuracy is not enough. Pastry cook should master basic skills and other specific skills that will enhance performance of pastry cook. In addition to the skills, facilities, infrastructure and raw materials has also become one of the factors supporting performance improvement of pastry cook. With the complete and adequate of infrastructure and raw materials, the pastry cook's performance will increase. But based on observation of the author, facilities, infrastructure and raw materials in Depasrtemen Pastry Sheraton Bandung Hotel & Towers is inadequate and incomplete. There are some damaged facilities and infrastructure, and also the amount is inadequate. As well as raw materials, sometimes there is a shortage of raw materials due to delays from suppliers. ABSTRAK Perkembangan industri pariwisata yang pesat di Jakarta, maka industri pariwisata mendapat... more ABSTRAK Perkembangan industri pariwisata yang pesat di Jakarta, maka industri pariwisata mendapat perhatian khusus dari pemerintah yakni pariwisata dapat diandalkan sebagai sumber pendapatan dan devisa negara yang utama khususnya usaha jasa restoran harus memperhatikan kualitas pelayanannya. Karena restoran tidak hanya menyediakan makanan atau minuman tetapi juga pelayanan yang memuaskan. Di Restoran Hotel Losari Blok m2 Jakarta, dalam hal ini kemampuan kerja seorang pramusaji sangat berpengaruh terhadap kelancaran operasional di Restoran Hotel Losari Blok m2 Jakarta. Seorang Pramusaji harus mampu memberikan pelayanan yang terbaik guna kelancaran dalam operasional. Tetapi kenyataannya kemampuan kerja pramusaji di Restoran Hotel Losari Blok m2 Jakarta yaitu belum menguasai product knowledge dan standar operasional prosedur, penyebabnya karena tingkat pendidikan, pengalaman bekerja pada industry hospitality serta lama bekerja di Hotel. Oleh karena itu, Pramusaji diwajibkan untuk mengusai Product Knowledge dan juga standar Operasional Prosedur, sehingga memudahkan pramusaji dalam bekerja.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif yang berfokus pada penguraian dan penyimpulan yang bersifat holistik dengan rangkaian data atau fakta dan generalisasi yang ada di lapangan sesuai dengan masalah penelitian. Pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan, observasi, wawancara, kuesioner dan dokumentasi. Teknik sampel yang digunakan dengan sampling jenuh dan purposive sampling, dan jumlah sampel sebanyak 6 (enam) orang.Metode analisis data yang digunakan penulis yaitu korelasi Pearson Product Moment, Koefisien Determinasi, uji t, hipotesis.Berdasarkan hasil dari pembahasan diperoleh bahwa nilai r sebesar 0,37 yang artinya bahwa kemampuan kerja pramusaji berpengaruh signifikan terhadap kelancaran operasional. Dan nilai Koefisien Determinasi sebesar 13,69 % yang berarti pengaruh kemampuan kerja terhadap kelancaran operasional sebesar 13,69 % sedangkan 86,31% berasal dari luar variabel yang diteliti seperti pendidikan dan pengalaman bekerja pada industry hospitality serta lama bekerja. Berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh bahwa t hitung sebesar 0,85, sedangkan t tabel dengan df = n-2(6-2) = 4 dan α 0,025 dengan t tabel sebesar 2,776. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa t hitung > t tabel, artinya Ho ditolak dan Ha diterima, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang rendah antara kemampuan kerja Pramusaji terhadap kelancaran operasional di Food and Beverage Service Department Hotel Losari Blok M Square Jakarta.

Baron Beach is a tourist attraction located in the area of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta, has a trend o... more Baron Beach is a tourist attraction located in the area of Gunung Kidul Yogyakarta, has a trend of increasing the number of visitors each year which is supported by the advantages of the natural and cultural side make this attraction is very potential to grow, but the problem is the attraction of coast barn tourism has not been so widely known. This study aims to formulate appropriate development strategies to be applied in Baron Beach attractions through the SWOT approach proposed by Freddy Rangkuti, by analyzing ecternal factor consisting of opportunities and threats and internal factor consisting of strengths and weaknesses. In this research, data which is used is primary and secondary of data. Accidental sampling is used for sampling methode which it for anyone of tourist and in additional for key person of Baron beach. The results of the study show that from SWOT analysis, using EFE Matrix, IFE Matrix, SWOT Matrix and IE Matrix, external factor with the highest score affecting the development of Baron Beach attraction is a safe and comfortable image of Yogyakarta, while the highest threat is lack of public transportation. Internal factor with highest score in strength factor is beautiful natural scenery, while the weakness factor is lack of tourist attraction in Baron Beach. Baron Beach's internal position has a strong position against existing strengths and weaknesses. Baron Beach responds well to the opportunities and threats. This tourist attraction is quite capable in utilizing the opportunities that exist at once in overcoming the threats encountered. This study aims to determine the characteristics of consumers who visit a restaurant namely Dropb... more This study aims to determine the characteristics of consumers who visit a restaurant namely Dropbox Resto & Cafe and to find out how consumer behavior patterns determine the decision to choose Dropbox Resto & Café. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. Unit analysis in this study are guests who visit Dropbox Resto and Café with 60 respondents as sample of population consisting of 18 male and 42 female consumers whose age ranges from 17 to 45 years old. The results are: 1) Most of the consumer characteristics of Dropbox restaurant cafe are women, on average of 17-24 years old, and students earning less than IDR 1,000,000 a month; 2) Consumer behaviors of a Dropbox resto and cafe in making purchasing decisions are influenced by suggestions from friends and people around them and not influenced by the family, not to show social status, can be enjoyed by various ages, influenced by work, influenced by the necessities of life and comfort of the place. The implication is that Dropbox Resto & Cafe needs to take several steps, namely 1) Identifying and anticipating consumers in order to provide their needs; 2) Establishing good communication with customers or consumers; and 3) Strengthening strategies that are committed to providing satisfaction to customers and consumers.

Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengidentifikasi potensi wisata dan merumuskan strategi pengembangan atraksi wisata berkelanjutan. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan unit analisis masyarakat penghuni dan pihak pengelola . Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan wawancara dan observasi sedangkan data sekunder denganmelakukan studi literatur. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa potensi pariwisata di Setu Babakan memprioritaskan ekowisata guna melestarikan lingkungan dan meningkatkan peluang kerja masyarakat sekitar. Rekomendasi dari penelitian ini adalah Setu Babakan dapat dikembangkan menjadi daerah tujuan wisata dengan melibatkan berbagai keterampilan (atraksi) baik seni maupun budaya masyarakat setempat.

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui kendala dalam kaitannya dengan Adat-Istiadat yang menghambat pengembangan pariwisata di Kabupaten Tidore Kepulauan dan mengetahui upaya pengembangan pariwisata dalam menghadapi adat-istiadat di Kabupaten Tidore Kepulauan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah melalui wawancara, observasi, studi pustaka. Wawancara dilakukan dengan narasumber yang dianggap ahli di bidangnya, yaitu tokoh adat, masyarakat dan dinas pariwisata. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah triangulasi. Kesimpulannya adalah kabupaten Tidore Kepulauan merupakan daerah yang memiliki begitu besar peluang pariwisata namun adat yang menjadi kendala dalam pengembangannya sehingga usaha industri pariwisata maupun stackholder tidak dapat berinvestasi dikarenakan pihak-pihak yang menolak wisatawan asing masuk dalam kegiatan menanam investasi. Adapun upaya pengembangan pariwisata yang dilakukan pada umumnya adalah mendorong kesultanan Tidore Kepulauan untuk lebih membangun sifat kebersamaan dan keterbukaan dalam bekerja sama dengan pemerintah pusat, daerah, maupun usaha jasa pariwisata lainnya dalam mengembangkan pariwisata disamping tetap menjunjung tinggi adat-istiadat.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the obstacles in relation to customs that hinder the development of tourism in the District of Tidore Kepulauan and knowing tourism development efforts in dealing with customs in the District of Tidore Kepulauan. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, library research. Interviews were conducted with sources that are considered experts in their fields, including traditional leaders, community and Dinas Pariwisata. The analytical method used was triangulation. The conclusion is Tidore Kepulauan district is an area that has so large indigenous tourism opportunities but an obstacle in its development so that businesses and the tourism industry stackholder can not invest because the parties refuse entry of foreign travelers in investing activities. As for tourism development efforts undertaken in general is pushing the Sultanate of Tidore Kepulauan to further establish the nature of togetherness and openness in working with central and local government, as well as other tourism businesses in developing tourism in addition to upholding the customs. ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari strategi bauran pemasaran 4P terh... more ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari strategi bauran pemasaran 4P terhadap pemasaran produk MICE beserta strategi alternatif dan pengembangan yang dapat dilakukan, khususnya di bidang publiceventdi salah satu hotel di daerah Bekasi, yaitu HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi.HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi adalah brand hotel bintang empat di bawah naungan TAUZIA Hotel Management yang terletak di kawasan Summarecon Bekasi.Penelitian dilakukan dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif dan pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode triangulasi melalui proses wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi yang dilakukan pada pihak sales dan marketing HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi, serta pada narasumber yang berpengalaman di bidang penyelenggaraan acara dan pemasaran. Selanjutnya akan dilakukan analisis menggunakan metode analisis interaktif Miles and Hubermann untuk melakukan evaluasi strategi pemasaran 4P dan peningkatan yang dapat dilakukan. Hasil yang didapatkan adalah strategi bauran pemasaran 4P yang dilakukan diHARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi, khususnya di segmen event cukup baik, tetapi memiliki kekurangan di unsur keragaman produk dan promosi untuk penyelenggaraan publicevent.Pengembangan yang dapat dilakukan adalah dengan memperbanyak produk dalam bentuk paket-paket publicevent seperti untuk pameran dan konvensi, sementara promosi juga harus dikembangkan untuk memberikan informasi kepada masyarakat mengenai adanya fasilitas convention hall. HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi is a brand of four-star hotel in the Summarecon Bekasi area. The method used in this research is the descriptive qualitative method and data collection is performed using triangulation method with interview, observation, and documentation conducted to the sales and marketing staff of HARRIS Hotel and Conventions Bekasi, practicioners and experts in the field of event management and marketing. The collected data is then analyzed using the Miles and Hubermann interactive analysis method to evaluate the 4P marketing mix strategy and improvements which can be done. Adapun upaya pengembangan pariwisata yang dilakukan pada umumnya adalah mendorong kesultanan Tidore Kepulauan untuk lebih membangun sifat kebersamaan dan keterbukaan dalam bekerja sama dengan pemerintah pusat, daerah, maupun usaha jasa pariwisata lainnya dalam mengembangkan pariwisata disamping tetap menjunjung tinggi adat-istiadat.

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the obstacles in relation to customs that hinder the development of tourism in the District of Tidore Kepulauan and knowing tourism development efforts in dealing with customs in the District of Tidore Kepulauan. The method used is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques used were interviews, observation, library research. Interviews were conducted with sources that are considered experts in their fields, including traditional leaders, community and Dinas Pariwisata. The analytical method used was triangulation. The conclusion is Tidore Kepulauan district is an area that has so large indigenous tourism opportunities but an obstacle in its development so that businesses and the tourism industry stackholder can not invest because the parties refuse entry of foreign travelers in investing activities. As for tourism development efforts undertaken in general is pushing the Sultanate of Tidore Kepulauan to further establish the nature of togetherness and openness in working with central and local government, as well as other tourism businesses in developing tourism in addition to upholding the customs.
