The positional accuracy of GPS is not up to the mark over the Indian region because the India is located near the equator. Moreover, the equatorial ionospheric grid point (IGP) of India differs from the ionospheric grid point of North America so in order to improve the positional accuracy of GPS over Indian region, the Indian Space Research Organization along with the Airport Authority of India has launched the space based augmentation satellite called GPS aided and Geo Augmented Navigation satellite (GAGAN) with PRN number 127 and 128. The GAGAN will make corrections in the ionospheric, ephemeris, and satellite clock errors in the navigation messages received from the GPS satellites; the certification of GAGAN is under progress. The objective of this research is to analyze th...

Her best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) was finger counting right eye and hand movements close to face in the left eye and IOP of 14 and 30 mmHg, respectively. Slit lamp examination revealed bilateral microspherophakia with presence of an anteriorly dislocated cataractous lens in the left eye [Fig. 1a and b]. There was no history of any other systemic illness. Similar history was present in both her sisters. Dilated fundus examination of both eyes revealed mild disc pallor with arteriolar attenuation and bony spicules suggestive of RP [Fig. 1c]. Flat ERG confirmed the diagnosis. On general physical examination, there were no features suggestive of any systemic association known with microspherophakia. Anterior segment optical coherence tomography image of left eye showed corneolenticular touch [Fig. 1d]. On Scheimpflug imaging, anterior chamber depth was 1.10 mm and lens thickness was 5.10 mm in the RE. In the left eye, lens thickness was 5.24 mm with corneolenticular touch and localized corneal edema. In view of anterior dislocation of cataractous crystalline lens, intracapsular cataract extraction was performed in the left eye without intraocular lens implantation. Postoperative period was uneventful with resolution of corneal edema in left eye [Fig. 1e] and IOP was 14 mmHg without drugs. Postoperative BCVA at 6 weeks in left eye was 5/200 with refractive correction of +14.0 DS. She was advised surgery in right eye and low vision aids for final visual rehabilitation.

How can we know reliably whether or when learning is taking place? How can a prospective student evaluate whether she will get a good education at an institution where she is considering enrolling? How can a parent have confidence that his son or daughter is learning at the college to which he writes tuition checks? How can a governor or legislator come to terms with the effectiveness of the education offered within a state? How can a faculty assess the strengths and weaknesses of the educational program it offers? No questions could be more important. And yet we ignore them or (just as bad) accept shallow or misleading answers. Thus, these questions are embarrassing ones. The National Center for Public Policy and Higher Education recently released Measuring Up 2000: The State-By-State Report Card for Higher Education. The study uses systematic data to prepare a report card for each state on its higher education system in terms of six categories: preparation, participation, affordability, completion, benefits, and learning. Every state received a grade in each category. But every state received an Incomplete for learning. No state has yet developed an adequate approach to assessing student learning. And yet surely this is the most important category of all. This national report card tells us a great deal about higher education in the states, except whether their institutions are fulfilling their undergraduate mission.

In order to fill the vacuum in this regard a new and futuristic orientation requires to be given to the discipline of business education. The conventional business education has become irrelevant. Keeping in mind the significance of modern business education, the Indian government has liberalized the business education market since 1990s, resulting in an unprecedented growth in the number of technical and management institutions mostly through private investment. It is worthwhile to mention here that outside US, India now trains largest number of MBAs with about 75,000 degrees annually. At present, there are more than 1200 institutions providing business education in the country. The students now have a vast choice regarding the institutions in which they want to study. Since the management graduates and post-graduates produced by these institutions are primarily absorbed by industry, there is a growing need to match the curriculum and structure of business education to better fit the needs of India and sensitive to the changes in both in the industrial and services sectors within the country. Moreover, it is important to properly assess the quality of business education imparted to the students in various institutions for proper decision-making regarding selection and recruitment by potential employers. In the present paper, an attempt has been made to investigate the quality of education imparted by business schools in India on the basis of a sample survey. Besides, a long-range strategy has been formulated to achieve excellence in business education through quality teaching.
