The data was collected through questionnaires from English language special education teachers who were teaching English at the secondary level. The research took place in Lahore, Pakistan, in special education classrooms. The target population of the study is English language teachers who are teaching visually impaired students in Lahore, Punjab. While the sample of the study was comprised of secondary level teachers of visually impaired students in Lahore. The findings of the study revealed that teachers were facing a number of problems in teaching visually impaired students, such as behavioral issues, less attention span, lack of motivation, lack of teaching materials, less family-supportive environment to do homework tasks etc.

The present study investigates the perceptions of Pakistani university students regarding online classes. The data was collected from 300 students of 4 universities in Lahore. The findings specified a sufficient level of satisfaction among the participants, but with an encounter of the hindrances caused by the technology. In contrast, the learners contended with the space they got from the online learning by taking classes from anywhere with all the precision of the materials and syllabus.

The present study explored the existing practices of EFL learners with reference to autonomy practices, in the context of Punjab, Pakistan. The autonomy of the learners was examined through their use of foreign language learning strategies. The sample of the study consisted of 104 university students from arts and science groups. The results indicated that the students of science group were using more autonomous learning strategies as compared to the arts group.

Learner autonomy (LA) can be promoted in foreign language classrooms by using foreign language learning strategies and it can pave the way for successful learning outcomes (Kim, 2013). Foreign language learning strategies (FLLS) are the behaviors, techniques and active engagement of learners (Ellis, 2008). The present study identified the foreign language learning strategies (FLLS), used by the Pakistani students at the tertiary level, where they were found to be unaware of the phenomena. Then a learner-training program based on FLLS was designed and implemented on the sample of 50 EFL students to foster autonomy. The research through an experiment of intervention found the effectiveness of the program with reference to LA development, the enhanced use of FLLS by students and the stimulation of their interest.

The present study is quasi-experimental research that designed an autonomous learning program to develop autonomy among Pakistani foreign language learners. The study aimed at examining the development of autonomy among learners through analyzing their language learning diaries. The target population of the study was tertiary level students of Lahore, Punjab (Pakistan) and the sample was the tertiary level students of a public sector women university of Lahore. The autonomy development program was implemented as an intervention for 27 weeks. The data was collected through the language learning diaries during the program and was analyzed descriptively. The analyses of the student diaries revealed that the autonomy development program proved to be successful.

A number of strategies are used in EFL classrooms to teach vocabulary, where the most common are Dictionary Vocabulary Learning (DVL) and Contextual Vocabulary Acquisition (CVA) The present study investigates the difference between the vocabulary development of EFL learners undergone the mentioned strategies. The study is experimental and the population is the BS students of Punjab (Pakistan). The sample was forty EFL students, divided as group 1 and group 2, where group 1 was taught by using DVL while group 2 was taught by CVA. Pre and Post tests were used to see the effects of DVL on group 1 and of CVA on group 2. Results indicated that the vocabulary development of the students taught by using CVA was higher than the students taught by DVL.

The value and impact of professional development of teachers are never-ending phenomena and it co... more The value and impact of professional development of teachers are never-ending phenomena and it continues to develop betterment in the teaching performances. The current study aimed at giving professional development training to Pakistani English as a foreign language (EFL) teachers with reference to bringing, promoting and practicing the culture of learner autonomy in the EFL classrooms. Learner autonomy is a widely used concept in foreign language teaching and learning which makes learners more independent, selfconscious and self-aware of their own learning process. This experimental study represents Pakistani EFL teachers as the population, whereas 60 EFL teachers from the various universities of the province Punjab were taken as the sample. The results obtained showed a clear difference in the agreement of the teachers on using and practicing learner autonomy in their classrooms. Their concepts and mindsets on learner autonomy were changed after the training sessions.
