This leads to a greater potential for natural disasters caused by land degradation, especially on land with relatively steep to steep slopes. The research area is located in Warungkiara District, Sukabumi Regency, West Java Province. Geographically, Warungkiara lies between-6.910833° S-7.000833 o S and 106.712222° E-106.802778 o E. The study was conducted using primary fieldwork data and supporting secondary data. The geomorphological aspects considered in this research are the morphometric aspects supported by the land use of the research area. This research intends to assess the potential of landslide disaster based on quantitative geomorphology and land use data with hopes that it can be used as a reference for land management policies and for zoning landslide prone areas. Based on the analysis of quantitative geomorphology and land use data, areas with high likelihoods of landslide are found in research area zones 1, 5 and 6 which both have >40% grade. Areas with potential for landslides are found in zones 2 and 3 with grades of 15-25%. From our observations, areas with landslide potential have ineffective land management. It is recommend that land use in landslide prone areas should be reviewed, with a greater emphasis on land use that can reduce landslide potential. Human settlements and vital human activities should avoid areas of potential landslide disaster.

IOT includes various networks such as Low-power and Lossy Network (LLN). LLN is a network of small smart devices communicating through low power and low-bitrate medium. Enhanced computation power of LLN small devices is a step toward the IOT reality. Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) thinks about connecting LLNs to current IP based Internet. Small smart LLN devices benefit from constrained resources such as memory and power. So IETF has designed a set of special protocols in order to facilitate LLN devices Internet connection. LLN special characteristic requires noticeable modifications of protocols used in MAC, Routing and Application layers too. In this paper IOT concept and visions are presented and a survey is done on standards and protocols devised in order to connect LLN to the Internet. An overview of the most prevalent IOT applications is presented too.

Mortality can be high, especially in herbivores. The aetiological agent is the spore-forming, Gram-positive rod-shaped non-motile Bacillus anthracis. The disease has worldwide distribution and is a zoonosis. The most widely used vaccine for prevention of anthrax in animals was developed by Max Sterne in 1937, is a live, non-encapsulate, spore former held in suspension. The method of vaccine production briefly is: seed lots are cultured on soild medium in Roux flasks formulated to promote sporulation of the organisms, incubacted at 37oC for several days until cultures show at least 80% of the organisms to be in sporulated form when examined following staining for spores. The growth from each flask is then harvested with physiological saline. The high efficacy of vaccine in preventing the disease without any side effects in all animals leads to high demands for vaccine. This request for vaccine needs producing the vaccine during all the year. The aim of this study was to increase the yield of vaccine production by substitution of a culture media instead of N-Z case agar which is very expensive and make some difficulties in vaccine production. The results showed that substituting the tryptone instead of N-Z case agar and also decreasing the amount of tryptone up tp 20% of the original amount of N-Z case agar in culture medium of the vaccine production, leads to increasing the growth of organism and also increasing the sporulation of the
In recent years, Active Contour Models (ACMs) have become powerful tools for object detection and... more In recent years, Active Contour Models (ACMs) have become powerful tools for object detection and image segmentation in computer vision and image processing applications. This paper presents a new energy function in parametric active contour models for object detection and image segmentation. In the proposed method, a new pressure energy called "texture pressure energy" is added to the energy function of the parametric active contour model to detect and segment a textured object against a textured background. In this scheme, the texture features of the contour are calculated by a moment based method. Then by comparing these features with texture features of the object, the contour curve is expanded or contracted in order to be adapted to the object boundaries. Experimental results show that the proposed method has more efficient and accurate segmenting functionality than the traditional method when both object and background have texture properties.

Background and aims: Hearing loss (HL) is one of the sensory, neurological disorders and is the h... more Background and aims: Hearing loss (HL) is one of the sensory, neurological disorders and is the highest rate of existing disorder at birth. More than 60% of deafness is hereditary. Genetic type of HL is divided into two groups, syndromic HL (SHL) and Non-syndromic HL (NSHL). Autosomal recessive non syndromic deafness (ARNSHL) occurs with the highest percentage (70%). This study aimed to determine genetic linkage of DFNB93 Locus in families with ARNSHL. Methods: The descriptive study was performed on 40 large pedigrees with at least two ARNSHL patients. They had healthy parents and most of consanguineous marriage. These cases were negative for GJB2 gene mutation in Chahar Mahal & Bakhtiari and Kohkiluyeh & Boyer Ahmad provinces of Iran. Then families were investigated for genetic linkage to the DFNB93 locus using STR markers, PCR and polyacrylamide gels. Results: Results showed that one of the 40 families (2.5%) was linked to the DFNB93 locus. The value of SLINK (2.67), preliminary two-point LOD (2.05), and multipoint LOD (2.05) for this family was calculated. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, DFNB93 locus has probably little role in deafness of studied population. Further investigations are necessary to determine the role of this locus in deafness in Iranian population more precisely.

The aim of the gimballed stabilization system is to stabilize the sensor's line of sight towa... more The aim of the gimballed stabilization system is to stabilize the sensor's line of sight towards a target by isolating the sensor from the disturbance induced by the operating environment, such as various disturbance torques and body motions. This paper presents a two axes gimbal assembly. The torque relationships are derived considering the angular motion of the base body and the dynamic unbalance. The stabilization loops for the two axes gimbal system are constructed and related to each other with a cross-coupling unit. Next, the overall model is simulated using two approaches and the obtained results are compared to show the correction of the model proposed. Finally, numerous tests are applied to evaluate the model's performance and investigate the effects of torque disturbance considered in this research.
