This paper describes our ongoing effort to build an empathizing and adaptive storyteller system. ... more This paper describes our ongoing effort to build an empathizing and adaptive storyteller system. The system under development aims to utilize emotional expressions generated from an avatar or a humanoid robot in addition to the listener’s responses which are monitored in real time, in order to deliver a story in an effective manner. We conducted a pilot study and the results were analyzed in two ways: first, through a survey questionnaire analysis based on the participant’s subjective ratings; second, through automated video analysis based on the participant’s emotional facial expression and eye blinking. The survey questionnaire results show that male participants have a tendency of more empathizing with a story character when a virtual storyteller is present, as compared to audio-only narration. The video analysis results show that the number of eye blinking of the participants is thought to be reciprocal to their attention.

This research been thorough to calculate the value of measured rock resistivity in Graha Mustamindo Permai 3 Housing and analyze rock layer types through rock resistivity values at Sepakat street, Rimba Panjang, Riau. The method using in this research is geoelectric resistivity of the Dipole-dipole configuration, two lanes with the same length of 100 meters are used and spacing between electrodes is 7 meters. The data obtained were processed using Res2Dinv software version 3.54.44. The data result that obtained show two differences trajectories in Rimba Panjang Village has varying resistivity, namely in the first lane around 1.595 Ωm to 2,762 Ωm and in the second lane 1.594 Ωm to 5,879 Ωm. Groundwater potential in the first and second lanes is quite large and is thought to be in a free aquifer so that it is easy to drill.

This research investigatis subsurface conditions by analyzing the resistivity value. The study was conducted at the Pawan Hot Spring tourisme object, Rokan Hulu, Riau using the Schlumberger rule which is brought closer to 2 track points with a length of 90 meters each. Measurment data were processed using Progress Software and the resistivity values obtained at Line I 100,83 – 63,54 Ohm.m with depths of 0,00 – 46 m and at Line II 146,73 – 239,71 Ohm.m with depths of 0,00 – 33 m. The interpretation result of the two tracks obtained that the hot water flow in Line I is in the sand layer with resistivity values 95,28 Ohm.m and 63,54 Ohm.m at depths of 3,77 – 46 m. Line II is found in the sandy clay layer with a resistivity value of 1,05 Ohm.m at depth of 3,56 – 3,66 m.

Tujuan riset ini adalah menganalisa litologi lapisan batuan yang ada di objek wisata Air Panas Pawan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu geolistrik Konfigurasi Dipole-Dipole. Research has been carried out at the Science Park, Riau University to determine the layers of und... more Research has been carried out at the Science Park, Riau University to determine the layers of underground lithological structures using the one-dimensional Schlumberger configuration Geoelectric resistivity method. Research data processing is done using Software Progress. The results of data processing show that lanes 1 and 2 consists of layers of alluvium, sand, gravel, and clay. On track 1, the highest soil layer resistivity value of 863.14 m is interpreted as a layer of sand and gravel at a depth of 2.28-31.12 m, while the smallest is 226.90 m which can be interpreted as a layer of clay at a depth of 0.68-1.28 m. On track 2, the highest soil layer resistivity value of 1027.83 m is interpreted as a layer of sand and gravel at a depth of 0.28-1.15 m, while the smallest is 188.08 m interpreted as a clay layer at a depth of 0-0.28 m. The highest and lowest resistivity values tend to be identified as sand, gravel, and clay, respectively.

This research been thorough to calculate the value of measured rock resistivity in Graha Mustamindo Permai 3 Housing and analyze rock layer types through rock resistivity values at Sepakat street, Rimba Panjang, Riau. The method using in this research is geoelectric resistivity of the Dipole-dipole configuration, two lanes with the same length of 100 meters are used and spacing between electrodes is 7 meters. The data obtained were processed using Res2Dinv software version 3.54.44. The data result that obtained show two differences trajectories in Rimba Panjang Village has varying resistivity, namely in the first lane around 1.595 Ωm to 2,762 Ωm and in the second lane 1.594 Ωm to 5,879 Ωm. Groundwater potential in the first and second lanes is quite large and is thought to be in a free aquifer so that it is easy to drill.

Hot water depth analysis have been carried out using the Schlumberger Configuration geoelectric m... more Hot water depth analysis have been carried out using the Schlumberger Configuration geoelectric method. This research investigatis subsurface conditions by analyzing the resistivity value. The study was conducted at the Pawan Hot Spring tourisme object, Rokan Hulu, Riau using the Schlumberger rule which is brought closer to 2 track points with a length of 90 meters each. Measurment data were processed using Progress Software and the resistivity values obtained at Line I 100,83 – 63,54 Ohm.m with depths of 0,00 – 46 m and at Line II 146,73 – 239,71 Ohm.m with depths of 0,00 – 33 m. The interpretation result of the two tracks obtained that the hot water flow in Line I is in the sand layer with resistivity values 95,28 Ohm.m and 63,54 Ohm.m at depths of 3,77 – 46 m. Line II is found in the sandy clay layer with a resistivity value of 1,05 Ohm.m at depth of 3,56 – 3,66 m.

Tujuan riset ini adalah menganalisa litologi lapisan batuan yang ada di objek wisata Air Panas Pawan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu geolistrik Konfigurasi Dipole-Dipole. Hasil yang diperoleh pada lintasan II memiliki resistivitas berkisar antara (30,7 – 149) Ohm-meter yang diidentifikasi sebagai akumulasi air yang diapit lapisan lempung. Lapisan ini terletak pada kedalaman (0,7 – 8,71) meter. In this study, the distribution of hydrotermal that occur based on the resistivity of subsurface rocks resulting from geophysical exploration using resistivity geolelectric method with Wenner configuration. Research has been carried out at the Science Park, Riau University to determine the layers of und... more Research has been carried out at the Science Park, Riau University to determine the layers of underground lithological structures using the one-dimensional Schlumberger configuration Geoelectric resistivity method. Research data processing is done using Software Progress. The results of data processing show that lanes 1 and 2 consists of layers of alluvium, sand, gravel, and clay. On track 1, the highest soil layer resistivity value of 863.14 m is interpreted as a layer of sand and gravel at a depth of 2.28-31.12 m, while the smallest is 226.90 m which can be interpreted as a layer of clay at a depth of 0.68-1.28 m. On track 2, the highest soil layer resistivity value of 1027.83 m is interpreted as a layer of sand and gravel at a depth of 0.28-1.15 m, while the smallest is 188.08 m interpreted as a clay layer at a depth of 0-0.28 m. The highest and lowest resistivity values tend to be identified as sand, gravel, and clay, respectively.
