Research was carried out to understand the role of social media and Influencers on tourist intere... more Research was carried out to understand the role of social media and Influencers on tourist interest in visiting Enrekang Regency. This research approach is quantitative-descriptive based on the philosophy of positivism. Data collection used research instruments; data analysis was quantitative-statistical. Probability sampling using simple random sampling technique to obtain samples. This research consisted of 60 respondents. The data presented shows that Influencers are parties who have a large number of followers and play an important role in promotion using social media such as Instagram, YouTube, Twitter and Facebook to promote tourist attractions. The research results prove that there is a significant relationship between social media and interest in visiting and being able to explain variables with an influence of 74% and the Influencer variable of 81%. Millennial tourists are most interested in visiting Enrekang Regency as much as 20% with the main aim being tourist attractions that can provide experiences through sightseeing/panorama activities, photography, mini restaurants, camping grounds, creative art, pine forests, game rides. Real collaboration is needed between the relevant government, tourist attraction managers, influencers and millennial tourists to create Enrekang as a tourist destination. Given SMTEs’ operational sizes, the need to enhance their knowledge base through their networks to stay competitive is heightened. This research examines how the absorptive capacity (AC) affects the dynamic between formal and informal networks and business management performance of SMTEs. The study focuses on four sub-sectors in Terengganu, Malaysia: hotels and resorts, travel agencies, restaurants, and handicrafts. The study analysed survey data from 119 entrepreneurs using a hierarchical regression model. The results show that there are main attributes in the formation of branding, namely identity, alumni, management aspects, quality of human resources and products and competitiveness. This paper employs a qualitative approach to answer research questions through research visit in July and September 2019. The authors collected research data through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research reveals that Kampung Nelayan has the potential for tourism village based on community empowerment principles. Kampung Nelayan has potential of marine tourism and cultural tourism. The steps to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village including 1) identification of members of community under the categories of internal and external community groups; 2) involving the community members in tourism programs and 3) follow up of community collaboration by the internal and external groups of community.

This paper employs a qualitative approach to answer research questions through research visit in July and September 2019. The authors collected research data through in-depth interviews and direct observation. The research reveals that Kampung Nelayan has the potential for tourism village based on community empowerment principles. Kampung Nelayan has potential of marine tourism and cultural tourism. The steps to implement Kampung Nelayan as tourism village including 1) identification of members of community under the categories of internal and external community groups; 2) involving the community members in tourism programs and 3) follow up of community collaboration by the internal and external groups of community.

Arguably, the most popular and effective method of promotion is through websites or blogs. Hence, along with the growth of tourism is the development of tourism websites as the main resource for assessing information about the potential destinations. By focusing on the official tourism website of Malaysia, this paper attempts to investigate how the website portrays the diversity of culture, destinations and architecture of the country. Adopting a multimodal discourse approach, analysis was carried out on both language and visual elements. It is revealed that both these resources are strategically utilised to portray the diversity of Malaysia in an attempt to attract potential tourists.

The aim of this study is to examine discussion method in order to improve to students’ achievement on English speaking skill. This empirical study employs experimental approach to get insight the of the discussion method in teaching English to students of Makassar tourism Academy. The data were collected from the test both speaking test and from questionnaire and they were analyzed quantitatively included descriptive statistic by using t-test. The finding demonstrates that discussion method can improve the students’ achievement better than lecturing one. And most of the students are interested to study English especially speaking skill with discussion method.
