TÓM TẮTMục đích: Mô tả đặc điểm hình ảnh tổn thương, di căn của UTP trên CHTTT và bước đầu nghiên... more TÓM TẮTMục đích: Mô tả đặc điểm hình ảnh tổn thương, di căn của UTP trên CHTTT và bước đầu nghiên cứu giá trị của chụp cộng hưởng từ toàn thân trong đánh giá giai đoạn của UTP có đối chiếu với PDG-PET-CT.Đối tượng và phương pháp: Nghiên cứu tiến cứu mô tả trên 46 BN UTP được chẩn đoán xác định dựa trên kết quả giải phẫu bệnh từ tháng 1 đến tháng 10 năm 2011 tại Bệnh viện Bạch Mai. Tất cả các BN này đều được chụp CHTTT, trong đó có 21 BN được chụp cả PET CT để tìm các tổn thương di căn. Mô tả đặc điểm tổn thương UTP và các tổn thương di căn trên CHT, đồng thời đối chiếu so sánh chẩn đoán giai đoạn UTP có đối chiếu với kết quả PET-CT.Kết Quả: Kích thước trung bình u 44,4±22,15 mm; mức độ giảm khuếch tán trung bình khối u phổi 4,02±0,83 điểm; 67,5% UTP tại thời điểm quan sát có xâm lấn trung thất, màng phổi; 54,3% UTP có di căn hạch, 28,3% di căn xương, 26,1% di căn não, 15,2% di căn gan, 8,6% di căn tuyến thượng thận. While data collection on hypertension in resource poor environments has been improving through the use of standardized surveys, little is known about how well treatments are being applied. Knowledge of gaps in diagnosis and treatment is necessary if appropriate public health programs are to developed. Using a community based observational sample in the Da Nang province of Viet Nam, we studied both the prevalence of undiagnosed hypertension, as well as the types of treatment those with hypertension received. Methods: Randomized cluster sampling methods were used to identify adults age 35 years and older in six communes of Da Nang province, Viet Nam. The temporal variation of nematode communities in eight mouth stations of the Mekong River system... more The temporal variation of nematode communities in eight mouth stations of the Mekong River system was investigated in order to compare the change between the dry and the wet season. The nematode data was analysed by multivariate techniques such as SIMPROF, MDS, ANOSIM and SIMPER in the software PRIMER v.6 – PERMANOVA. Our results showed that average dissimilarity between seasons of the nematode communities in each station was high. Seasonal factor did not affect strongly their distribution pattern. Dominant genera Desmodora and Oncholaimellus usually occurred in the sand stations and Parodontophora and Halalaimus were characteristic for the silty group in both seasons. The spatial variations in this estuarine area have an influence that is larger than seasonal factors. This ecosystem is not only impacted by anthropogenic factors but also known as one of severely affected areas by climate change. The issue of environmental management in this estuarine system is very important and necessary. Many coastal provinces in the Mekong delta have awareness of environmental estuarine management to set up bio-monitoring programs for water and ecological quality. However, there is no province including meiobenthos or nematode communities in environmental bio-monitoring while they are clearly proven to be a helpful bio-indicator. This paper concerns to some baseline data of meiobenthos and nematode communities in this region to recommend applying nematode in meiobenthos communities for environmental bio – monitoring and management in the Mekong estuarine area. A high accurately theoretical analysis for high uniformity illumination distribution on the ceili... more A high accurately theoretical analysis for high uniformity illumination distribution on the ceiling of indoor lighting LED system based on the super-positions is proposed and performed. Starting from the non-uniform illumination distribution of two LED sources, the dependences of the uniformity ratio on the height of the LED source and the length of the ceiling are investigated. The low intensity in the region near the side-wall can be avoided by rotating the LED source with a small angle, but the low uniformity illumination distribution at the center of the ceiling still exists. The aim of this work proposes the alternative design and approach for several configurations and demonstrates that can be obtained high uniform illumination distribution. The redistributed factor of the illumination through the lens is also considered and calculated. The investigation of this work will be a general guideline for designing the high uniform LED indoor lighting systems as well as being valuable materials for the LED lighting manufacturing industry.

Since 2007, when I started to write my project proposal until the time to accomplish it, I was supported by a lot of people. Without these helps, I could not complete my study as it is. In this paper, we numerically investigate nonlinear optical responses in dielectric gratings coat... more In this paper, we numerically investigate nonlinear optical responses in dielectric gratings coated by flat metallic surface, where the structural parameters are chosen for wavelengths of operation at the telecom regime. The presented designs show the output light reflection with respect to the incident intensity of increasing, decreasing, and non-monotonic belt-shape functions. Nonlinear optical responses including switching and bistability appeared in the telecom region owing to assistance of surface plasmon resonance excited at the metal/dielectric interface, which enhances the diffraction efficiency and induces the momentum matching for the leaky modes of the dielectric grating. This results in electric intensityeffective refractive index dependence enhancement in the Kerr nonlinear media. Our design and investigation of the linear and nonlinear optical responses will provide a general guideline for a hybrid metallic-dielectric structure-based optical switching/bistability device design.

In which, the sway motion of a payload is integrated into the trolley dynamics in a sliding surface. This scheme guarantees the asymptotic stability of the closed-loop system. Moreover, the control gain, which is the most important component, is a flexible gain and is tuned based on fuzzy laws to avoid chattering phenomena of the system. The performance of the closed-loop system has been simulated using MATLAB. In addition, to illustrate the efficiency of the proposed control law, experimental results are also provided.

A 60 m-long sediment core from the lower Red River delta in northern Vietnam contains three depos... more A 60 m-long sediment core from the lower Red River delta in northern Vietnam contains three depositional sequences consisting mostly of regressive shallow-marine sediments bounded by unconformities. The youngest unit represents the modern Red River delta. The second unit, a facies succession comparable to the overlying deltaic succession, formed during an earlier sea-level highstand, as indicated by the marine isotope stage (MIS) 3 age obtained by radiocarbon dating. The third, undated unit might reflect earlier high sea levels of the middle to late Pleistocene. The MIS-3 ages, derived from shoreline-related sedimentary facies, are supported by records from adjacent mega-deltas and shelf sites with paleoshoreline facies. Proximal sites from the central Indochina craton show high sea levels during late MIS 3, whereas distal sites from the open continental shelf indicate much lower sea levels at the same time. Independent, globally relevant sea-level reconstructions suggest that both positions have been affected by later vertical movement. This discrepancy between sea-level records from central cratonic sites and the continental margin can be explained by a balanced response to locally differentiated sediment loading and compaction on the shelf, as is supported by published seismic data. However, if the complete set of radiocarbon dates is contaminated by younger material, then the second recorded sea-level highstand may be associated with MIS 5, as no marine deposits have yet been reported in any of the three Indochinese mega-deltas for this time interval.

The general nonlinear behavior of multiple cascaded resonators is analyzed by using the coupled-m... more The general nonlinear behavior of multiple cascaded resonators is analyzed by using the coupled-mode theory in time and then compared to a single resonator from the viewpoint of optical bistable operation. Our analysis reveals that from the perspective of switching intensity, the multiple resonator structure is more advantageous than the single resonator with an equivalently increasing quality factor. It is also shown that a switching intensity-response time product, suggested as a performance metric for optical bistable devices, decreases linearly as the number of cascaded resonators increases. The effect of coupling resonators is equivalent to a single resonator device with-time increased quality factor in terms of the performance metric. The coupledmode theory analysis is confirmed by a numerical study of the bistable operation of one-dimensional photonic crystal resonator structures using the finite-difference time-domain method.

We propose a microwave signal generation device using difference frequency generation in a period... more We propose a microwave signal generation device using difference frequency generation in a periodically-poled LiTaO3 rectangular waveguide. In the experiment, a microwave signal was successfully generated at the designed frequency of 15 GHz from the intensity modulated optical signal. The measured frequency response of the fabricated proto-type device was in good agreement with the theoretically expected ones. We expect the proposed device can be useful for high-frequency signal generation, detections of the vector modulation optical signal, and the optical clock signal.
