The initiating conflict involves Trinity's location being pinpointed by police who attempt to arrest her. We are then introduced to the antagonist(s) of the movie, which we later learn are called "sentient machines"-machines which resemble human beings in every respect, yet who possesses physical strength far exceeding that of any normal human being. The "sentient beings" subsequently pursue her, and in so doing, demonstrate their superior strength, not only to that of the police officers, who were efficiently killed by Trinity, but also to Trinity herself, who is forced to retreat from these "sentient beings". She does so a manner that further demonstrates her own superhuman physical ability, as she jumps from building to building as the sentient beings pursue her. She narrowly escapes death by fleeing beyond their grasp through a telephone-transport system. We gradually learn the purpose of her visit to New York: she is to make contact with the potential saviour of her movement and the world; Neo, the protagonist of the movie. In her initial attempt to contact Neo, Trinity unwittingly divulges the location of Neo to these sentient beings and he is captured and taken into custody. It is at this point in the movie where what we perceive to be typical reality is challenged. After the implanting of a tracking device into his abdomen, Neo awakens as if from a dream, but soon comes to the realization that his experience at the police station was not a dream at all… Neo is then introduced to Morpheus and the purpose of his recent ordeal is revealed.

Start with a general statement, introduce your thesis and three points of proof in the introductory paragraph. 2. Elaborate on each point of proof in the body paragraphs, using the point, proof, comment method. 3. Always introduce the speaker of a quote. 4. Never have a quote in a sentence by itself. Always identify the speaker of the quote 5. After you have first introduced the full name of someone you are discussing in your paper, use only their last name in subsequent mention of the person. 6. Never use the word essay in your essay. It has already been established that it is an essay with your title page. 7. Never write what you are going to write in your essay. This implies a tense change. Simply write it. 8. Never use first person in your essay. It takes away from the objectivity of the essay. 9. Do not include quotes that are longer than two lines in the body paragraphs. Always indent your quotes if they are longer than two lines. 10. Use the past active tense in your essays. For example, Mark Daniels attempts to escape from prison instead of Mark Daniels attempted to escape from prison. 11. As you are writing, imagine you are debating the topic with someone. You would not say to him, "In this essay I will prove that Mark Daniels is a bad man. Firstly, Daniels attempts to escape killing a security guard. Secondly, Daniels steals a car shooting the driver. Finally, he goes home and shoots his dog." You would not speak like this if you were arguing with a friend. Instead you would write: "Mark Daniels is a bad man. He attempts an escape killing a guard, he steals a car, shooting the driver and then goes home and shoots his dog." 12. Do not number your paragraphs with firstly, secondly, finally. I have ten fingers. I can count.
