However, most students struggle in the classroom due to some speech factors. This study investigated the effectiveness of the P.R.E.P. and teacher-directed approaches in improving the quality of oral rhetoric in Grade eleven students. Moreover, quasi-experimental research design was used in this study, the control group was subjected to teacher-directed approach while the experimental group was subjected to Point, Reason, Example, and Point (P.R.E.P.) approach. The quality of students' oral rhetoric performance was assessed using a rubric that encompassed the following canons: invention, arrangement, style, memory, and delivery. Both groups scored consistent increase in Good level in all canons of oral rhetoric; there is a significant difference in the participants’ oral rhetoric rating before and after the interventions; the two groups differed significantly in their oral rhetoric in the ar...

Findings of this study revealed that both oral rhetoric strategies were comparably effective in helping students frame meaning into their spoken discourse. It is recommended that English programs consider fostering innovative speaking approaches in the teaching and learning of the English language.

The study was anchored on Davis’s Technology Acceptance Model which originated from Ajzen & Fishbein’s Theory of Reasoned Action. Moreover, the descriptive research method was used in this study, involving a purposive random sampling method in obtaining data from respondents. Teachers were profiled, details and results were enumerated. Several findings were made about the English teachers, that there is no significant difference in the ICT integration in teaching and learning when grouped according to their highest educational attainment; there is no significant difference in the ICT integration in teaching and learning when grouped according to teachers’ seminars/trainings in ICT; there is no significant difference in the ICT integration in teaching and learning when grouped according to perceived usefulness of ICT i...

Moreover, the study intended to identify if there is a significant difference between the attitude of the respondents in teaching fiction when grouped according to demographic profile. To fulfill the said goals, this Descriptive-Quantitative study utilized purposive sampling to select ten (10) Doctor of Philosophy major in English students who are teaching literature. The data were gathered through an adapted survey questionnaire, and were analyzed through descriptive (mean, frequency, and percentage), and inferential (ANOVA and T-Test) analyses. The results revealed that the respondents generally manifest a "Very Positive" attitude in all aspects of teaching fiction such as strategies, selection of text, and springboard for teaching grammar. Furthermore, when grouped according to demographics, the analysis revealed no significant difference between attitude, age, and years of teaching. Interestingly, a significant difference exists between attitude and sex (p=0.38). Ultimately, it was recommended to investigate the attitude of the students toward the use of fictional texts in the classroom as this study mainly focused on the teachers' attitude. Teachers should also look for ways on how to connect fictional stories to the lives of the students and to look closely on the diverse needs of learners in the selection of appropriate teaching strategies and fictional texts. Social and moral contexts should also be given emphasis.

English teachers' level of ICT integration in teaching and learning is fair or below satisfactory. Recommendations included school administrators, teachers, and future researchers, to support the integration of ICT in the teaching and learning process, create more opportunities for students to experience impactful learning with ICT, so that these interventions may further substantiate the contribution of ICT in the field of education, especially in English language teaching and learning. Further research anticipated to be undertaken leveling up to more focused tasks on ICT-centered activities.
