The majority of renewable source of energy are operate at low voltage. Such as Biomass energy, geothermal energy etc. Therefore, it is vital to enhance the low voltage which we acquire from the renewable source of energy within the voltage important for the load or DC bus in a DC microgrid. During this condition a 10kW power electronic converters are designed to interface solar photovoltaic source to the DC bus of a DC microgrid. Simulation model of the system via a simple power electronic Cuk converter and an impedance (Z) source Cuk converter is designed. Simulation outcome of both the converter model show the performance validation of the power electronic converter and the controller and confirms the appropriateness of power electronic converter intended for the DC microgrid.

The main feature of this work is it keeps track of time, date and number of access of locker by a user in the bank. The smart lock program will compare your image and fingerprint with the data already stored in the database. After checking the authenticity of the user, the microcontroller (Arduino) will give signal to the lock and it will open. It also gives a message when the number of permissible access turns increases in a given duration.

But the archaic transmission lines have their material limits because of which they are unable to transmit the increased energy generation successfully, and get overloaded and cause major losses of electrical power. There are numerous ways to tackle this problem of congestion and losses. Changing millions of kilometres of transmission lines would not be an economical solution. Keeping this in mind, we intend to find a better solution for the congestion problem with the help of FACTS devices. The results show significant improvement in bus voltages when the observations and calculations are obtained on a standard IEEE 30 bus system, which has been simulated with the help of MATLAB software.

This means that, with just power cables running to an electronic device (for example) one can both power it up and at the same time control/retrieve data from it in a half-duplex manner. During the last years PLC technologies have been widely developed mainly due to new modulation techniques used for wireless telecommunication systems that can also be applied to PLC systems. The current state of the art of PLCcommunications is presents many possibilities and opportunities for the utilities. Besides the Distributed Energy Resources integration to the distribution grid is done by plc with in smart grid. The aim of this paper is to make a review of the existing PLCtechnologies as well as the analysis of an interesting range of electric applications of PLC.

Various technologies used in smart grid are discussed in this paper.

This mainly occurs in restructured power system because of restrictions of transmission line capacity. Due to this power system does not remain in secure condition. Ranking of contingency is done using performance index and critical contingency is found. In this paper, placement of multiple TCSCs for reducing transmission line congestion under single line critical contingency condition is done. Optimal location for placement of TCSCs is found out by using sensitivity analysis. By placing two TCSCs, there is reduction in line loading, improvement in voltage profile and reduction in reactive power loss, thus keeping power system in secure condition under critical contingency. Proposed work is carried out on IEEE 14 bus test system using MATLAB.

The unified operation of different energy sources increases the overall reliability and overall operational efficiency of the whole system. The microgrid always consists of the main source, which is responsible for supplying the main power. Thus, the microgrid has the primary grid and other DGs connected to it and thus provided the microgrid's various modes of operation, such as grid-connected mode, islanded mode, and dual-mode. The microgrid can be switched to multiple methods, and this switching requires a good pattern. The paper describes modes of operation and control strategies required for the proper switching to various methods. The variation of the Irradiance value affects the active and reactive power at the PCC or the bus. At low Irradiance, the load is fed by both grid and th...
