In the e-learning environments; the only way to ensure that goals are achieved is through feedback. The issueis that there is no comprehensive framework based on the research findings in education, so that how to create educational feedback based on learning objectives. Method The purpose of this study was to compilation the educational standards and their indicators for design effective feedback for the first three layers (remembering, understanding and applying) of the Bloom-Anderson's taxonomy. The qualitative research approach is used and based on this approach, the phenomenological design strategy has been used. The population included experts and faculty members in e-learning centers which were selected through purposeful sampling. Qualitative data generated from interviews were coded and analyzed by Corbin and Strauss method and Maxquda software. Results The results of the study led to the development of 4 educational standards and 22 indicators based on Bloom-Anderson's taxonomy to design comprehensive feedback in the field of e-learning. According to the results PhD student information technology in higher education, psychology and educational science,

This study was undertaken to examine the relationship between students’ confident level and the lab test achievement in autonomous learning lab for programming course. The objectives of this research discusses on (i) relationship between students’ confident level and lab test achievement, (ii) students’ confident level in facing the lab test, (iii) student’s achievement in lab test. This research has been done to year one, semester one session 2013/2014 for basic programming course, TK1114 at the Faculty of Technology and Information Science (FTSM), Bangi. 162 year one students responded to the online questionnaire. This research is a quantitative research that used Pre-Test and Post-Test experimental research design. Students need to respond to the online questionnaire right after they completed the lab test. Data had been analyzed using IBM SPSS version 22. T...

This learning model can increase student motivation and engagement in an interactive environment. However, mentoring has not been actively implemented even though mentoring is one of the important agendas for the next 20 years and in line with education 4.0, which encourages students towards active learning. The study's findings found that the gamification approach is an effective method to increase the level of involvement and motivation of students in active learning. However, gamification becomes less effective when in-depth learning is carried out, and the learning process cannot provide satisfaction to students with high levels of confidence. This group only participates for fun but does not want to socialize with other students because the core of gamification is competitive-oriented. Therefore, the objective of this study is to produce a mentoring-style gamification...

An online questionnaire was used to obtain feedback from 179 first year students from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FTSM) of 2010/2011 session. The results showed that students reported more positive post-course perceptions than the pre-course perceptions andalthough the pre-course perceptions do not affect students achievement on overall, it affects their perceived programming skills. Students who have intrinsic motivation showed excellent performance and perceived high programming skill compare with other types of motivation.

However, most students found it is hard to learn and score a good mark. This paper discusses the study to identify problems and causes faced by programming students. The study was conducted at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology, UKM. Data was collected from 179 students who answered online questionnaire. The study identified several major problems; reference materials, lectures and lab session approaches, problem solving ability, time management and self-confidence. The findings will be used to improve the courses and thus ensures the realization of course outcomes, decrease the failure rates and increase students' interest in programming.

Knowing how important for the graduates to possess the required skills by the industry therefore, this study aims to measure the employability of the FTSM graduates. Measurement carried out is based on the skills possessed by graduates during their studies at the faculty. These skills are assessed based on their basic knowledge of programming system development, soft skills, and entrepreneur skill. The data used in this study obtained from the students who graduated on the 2010/2011 session and data was collected in September 2011, i.e. five months after the students finished their studies. The methodology used in the study is by using questionnaires that were uploaded online and distributed manually during the Convocation Day. Descriptive and inference statistical analyses were used to analyze the data. This analysis seeks to find relationships between employability and graduates’ perception of their own skills. The study is important to identify whether the level of skills possessed by graduates during their studies are appropriate in helping them to perform in a job market.

Structuring a comprehensive curriculum is important for the academic program. This study aims to measure the effectiveness of the program offered by the faculty in meeting to satisfy the needs of the industry and the ability of graduates in the job market. This study was conducted on graduates at the Faculty of Information Science and Technology (FTSM) for the 2010/2011 session. There are six programs offered at FTSM which are Computer Science, Science and Management Systems, Multimedia Studies, Information Science, Industrial Computing and Intelligent Systems. The effectiveness of these programs are evaluated based on students perceptions towards the learning outcomes associated with the program and their ability to get employed based on the knowledge they possessed. The data used in this study were obtained in September 2011, which means five months after the students completed their studies. The students were given the questionnaires online and manually. A total of 156 questionnaires were collected. Descriptive inference and statistical analysis technique were used to analyze the data. This analysis seeks to find a relationship between the achievement of programs' objective and the employability of graduates. The findings are important to ensure that the programs offered at FTSM are compatible with market requirements.
