They have resulted in the deaths and injuries of the civilian population, as well as the destruction of cities, villages, settlements, economic facilities and other infrastructure. Unfortunately, wars and armed conflicts continue in various parts of the world, and more and more people are killed which are primarily civilian population. It is necessary that the role of the international community in general, as well as the largest international organizations like OUN, should have more active roles in the terms of the application of all legal frameworks worldwide. That is related to the control of weapons in general and weapons of mass destruction and therefore the protection of all persons protected according to the Geneva Conventions from 1949. The mixture of modern and classical, the combination of tradition and the process of industrializ... more The mixture of modern and classical, the combination of tradition and the process of industrializa- tion, all left their trace in every segment of the Japanese society. Despite the power of modern technology and its tendency to completely annul certain customs, Japan has remained faithful to its tradition, hence other highly developed countries in the world could learn a lot from Japan in that regard. This paper discusses, among other things, Japan’s response to Western imperialism and points out the fact that his- torical experience proves that Japan would always successfully overcome difficulties and thus become an example to other world countries of how conflicts and challenges of highly advanced, technological societies could be overcome without desecrating the cultural tradition and refuting the collective identity.

During the entire period of aggression and occupation, the Austro-Hungarian army and the local authorities carried out severe war crimes against wounded, sick, medical personnel and the civilian population. In addition to the aforementioned in the year of 1915, a major epidemic of all three types of typhoid occurred in Serbia. Because of the war and epidemic of typhoid the medical situation in Serbia was very difficult so a large number of medical missions from Allied and neutral countries have come to Serbia to help. The International Red Cross is one of the oldest and most numerous international organizations. A... more The International Red Cross is one of the oldest and most numerous international organizations. All modern states are members of the International Red Cross. The International Red Cross was founded on the personal initiative and commitment of Henri Dunant in Geneva in 1863. Henri Dunant's idea was that the International Red Cross would help the wounded and sick people in the war. Later, with time, the International Red Cross was given a very important and significant role in the humanization of war and armed conflict, especially related to the categories that were not initially part of the plan for the implementation of its activities, namely civilians, prisoners of war, shipwreckers, medical personnel, and religious personnel. Later, the International Red Cross's scope of work was enlarged to encompass peaceful times as well. The Red Cross has taken part in alleviating the consequences of major natural disasters such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, tornadoes, epidemics, floods, droughts, fires, and other disasters that cause great human casualties and material damage. In 1876, the International Red Cross was founded in Serbia, and it has played a great humanitarian role in the past period. This article deals with the international legal aspect as well as some of the most important activities and actions of the International Red Cross in cooperation with Serbia from 1876 to 2021.
Economic crisis, financial deficit, problems with the energy policy, Greek crisis, the referendum... more Economic crisis, financial deficit, problems with the energy policy, Greek crisis, the referendum in the UK, a common foreign and security policy and its own deficiencies, the migrant crisis, and the fact that Europe faces terrorism on its territory are just some of the issues that take a lot of political attention and energy of political elites in Europe. All these issues have reached their peak in Serbia. Moreover, Serbia finds itself in the middle of the foreign policy competition between the great powers, such as the United States of America and the Russian Federation. Exhausted by economic and internal political issues, Serbia is to create and focus on its own foreign policy goal and stay on its path until the final destination-complete economic and social recovery of the country.
