The result of substantial investment and the formulation of impressive policies for e-government ... more The result of substantial investment and the formulation of impressive policies for e-government implementations has transitioned Ghana from a mediocre to a high e-government readiness in the latest United Nations Biannual E-Government Development Index (EGDI). Ghana is the only African country to achieve this feat. However, how e-government service delivers benefits to Ghanaians and the challenges this technology is encountering seems to be overlooked by researchers in extant academic discourses. As a result, important scientific knowledge about this topic in the context of Ghana is missing. This paper aims to review articles on e-government to identify its merits to the Ghanaian public and businesses and single out the challenges it faces. The narrative review method was employed to search, review, and synthesise the extant literature. The review showed that there is a paucity of e-government related literature in the context of Ghana. Among the few articles that were found and re...

Also this study examines the impact of perceived value on students' academic performances. A sample size of 122 full-time students were randomly chosen from various educational institutions. A multi-factor leadership questionnaire with a Likert-Scale from 1-5 was used to collect the data to determine customer perceived value associated with Smartphone and its impact on student deviant behaviour and performance. To ensure reliability and validity of the data set, the sample size only includes students who have been using a Smartphone for a minimum of four months. Descriptive statistics shows that the most significant perceived value associated with Smartphone is functional value followed by emotional value and epistemic value. Social value was found to be the least reason students consider when purchasing and consuming a Smartphone. In terms of correlations, this study found that overall customer perceived value associated with smartphone is highly correlated with student deviant behaviour and performance. Also this study found no significant correlation between emotional, epistemic and functional value with student deviant behaviour. This study only found a significant and positive relationship between perceived social value and student deviant behaviour. This study also found no significant relationship between emotional value and functional value with student performance. Bivariate multiple regression analysis shows that there is no significant influence of any perceived value (functional, emotional, social and epistemic) on student deviant behaviour. This study found perceived social value has a significant impact on student academic performances. However, overall perceived value associated with smartphone has a significant and positive impact on both student deviant behaviour and their academic performances. The current study contributes to the body of research by investigating the combined impacts of customer perceived value on student deviant behaviour using one instrument, in one area setting. This research shows that customer perceived value associated with smartphone is crucial in managing student deviant behaviour and academic performance. Future research should be undertaken on different context or by increasing the sample size to widen the research context to ensure validity and reliability of the results.

Despite widespread enthusiasm and progress in e-government development in developing countries, their implementations are not as successful as their counterpart in developed economies. In an extant study, a mere 15% of e-government systems were found to be successful in developing countries. In the latest United Nations (2018) E-government Development Index (EGDI) data, the average EGDI of African countries in the survey is 0.3423 whereas the EGDI average of European countries is 0.7727. In spite of this huge gap, factors impeding the successful implementation of e-government in developing countries are greatly misunderstood as empirical studies of e-government success in developing countries are very diff...

Poor or bad password habits lead to compromise of personal data privacy and allow hackers to gain unauthorised access to these passwords and use them for criminal and fraudulent cyber activities. The purpose of this research is to examine the impact of password habits among Malaysians on their personal data breaches. This study provides insights into the behaviour of users concerning their passwords use. This study used a positivism paradigm and applied a quantitative approach and used a convenience sampling technique to collect data from 297 respondents from Malaysian nationals. IBM SPSS AMOS 24 is used to conduct the analysis. The result from the study shows that "lacking the use of second-factor authentication' have a significant and a positive impact on the personal data breaches. Based on this finding, it can be concluded that the lack of second-factor authentication is an essential factor that significantly impacts personal data breach. This finding provides a different perspective from the usual connection of bad password habits of weak password length and combination, easy to guess the password and common password reuse to be the main contributing factor of the personal data breaches by the previous literature. The contribution of this research is the provision of empirical evidence that emphasise the need to continually beef up own security by correctly using second-factor authentication across individual accounts. Doing so is crucial to curb personal data breaches.

Currently, information regarding properties for sell or rent could be achieved through newspapers, social media, websites, magazines, posters, mobile applications, word of a mouth and many other means. Due to the prevalent of Smartphones and the popularity of mobile applications, there are mobile apps like POSTERS, PropertyGuru and IProperty which offer property or real estate information to their users. However, popular features such as customer rating, property reviews and GPS navigation to the location of the property required by property seekers are lacking in the above mentioned applications. The aim of this study is to analyse, design and develop a real property mobile application that could enable users to search for properties to buy or rent, use GPS to navigate to the location of these properties, rate and review them after seeing them. The authors successfully developed Eureka to possess the popular features lacking in similar applications.

Besides, the study will examine the relationship between work environment and supportive supervisor and job satisfaction and general life satisfaction. 40 employees were selected from various departments of FTMS College located in Cyberjaya to answer a survey, using convenient sampling method. SPPS 21 was used in this study to analyse data. This study found that the use of mobile technology was moderately high among the workers after the normal working hours. It was also found from this study that employees give high priority in immediately responding to messages sent by students (customers) while they avoid responding to vendors for several reasons. No significant correlations between use of mobile technology after work hours and level of stress, job satisfaction and satisfaction towards general life was found from this study. However, this study found positive correlation between positive feelings towards the message and positive feeling towards work environment. This study also reveals that there are negative correlations with satisfaction towards general life and supervisor support suggesting that when the support of the supervisor increases the level of stress goes down. Besides, this study found a positive correlation between job satisfaction and satisfaction towards general life. Another revelation from this study is the finding linking positive work environment and supportive leaders to having a positive relationship with satisfaction towards general life. Last but not the least, the study also revealed the existence of positive relationship between perceived pleasantness of work environment and immediate supervisor supportive role. Therefore researchers, conclude that the use of mobile technology will not affect the level of stress provided that a good supportive work environment and friendly supportive leaders exist in the organisation. This might even encourage employees to engage with work after work hours using mobile technologies to ensure customer received prompt responses.

The issue of the new-generation numbering system of the Internet Protocol version 6 (IPv6) is addressed as exhaustion of address space of the numbering system of Internet Protocol version 4 (IPv4) becomes a problem. An explained study is performed on the IPv6 addressing architecture and yet the almighty goals are still not met. IPv4/IPv6 transition unfolds a lot of problems relating to the internet world. This paper proposes some transition mechanisms involving Dual Stack and Tunneling transition techniques. An explained study is performed on the addressing architecture. However these techniques prove to be most efficient in the study which has been performed. This paper targets at a comparative study on the throughputs in bits/ seconds, packet throughputs, delay in networks, response time in seconds of both IPv4 and IPv6. Hence, since the system proposes for coexistence of both IPv4 and IPv6, the solution projected in this paper is "DUAL STACK where you can and TUNNEL where you have to".

Without empirical evidence, the digital divide and cultural factors are perceived to influence the e-government success in developing countries. This paper gives an overview of the available research on the digital divide, culture, and e-government success. A literature review was conducted covering empirical studies on the digital divide, culture, and egovernment success. Result shows that (1) empirical studies of e-government success in developing countries are rare; (2) most research on digital divide were conducted in developed countries and focused on ICT access, instead of multi-dimensional approach; (3) studies that investigate different dimensions of the digital divide influence on e-government successes in particular are almost non-existent; (4) in IS culture studies, the impact of cultural dimensions on e-government success in particular is missing; and (5) the study of individual level cultural dimensions influence on e-government success receives little attention from researchers. This review calls on research attention to the influence of culture and the digital divide on egovernment success. The major gaps identified could offer researchers the potential directions for further research.
