However, the existing interventions do not take the emotional aspects of obesity into account. Forty percent of the overweight population is an emotional eater. Emotional eaters gain weight because of poor emotion regulation, not just due to bad eating habits. We aim at developing a personalised virtual coach ‘Denk je zelf!’ providing support for self-regulation of emotions for obese emotional eaters. This paper presents a research study protocol on validating persuasive coaching strategies in emotion regulation, based on Dialectical Behaviour Therapy, ultimately targeting behaviour change. Our goal is to design a personalised eCoaching framework, allowing us to optimally translate successful behaviour change mechanisms and techniques, such as dialectical strategies, into personalised persuasive coaching strategies.

Rare variants generally have large effects though they are hard to detect due to their low frequency. Currently, many existing statistical methods for rare variants association studies employ a weighted combination scheme, which usually puts subjective weights or suboptimal weights based on some ad hoc assumptions (e.g. ignoring dependence between rare variants). In this study, we analytically derive optimal weights for both common and rare variants and propose a General and novel approach to Test association between an Optimally Weighted combination of variants (G-TOW) in a gene or pathway for a continuous or dichotomous trait while easily adjusting for covariates. We conduct extensive simulation studies to evaluate the performance of G-TOW. Results of the simulation studies show that G-TOW has properly controlled type I error rates and it is the most powerful test among the methods we compared, when testing effects of either both rare and common variants or rare variants only. We also illustrate the effectiveness of G-TOW using the Genetic Analysis Workshop

India is a country of more than 500 villages consisting 60 percent of its total population. So from the development point of view, it has been the main focus of the government to include all the disadvantaged and weaker sections of the society into the arena of equal growth and opportunities to all by providing better services of infrastructure, agricultural development, financial services and public health services etc. to the rural area of the nation. All the decisions whether political, social, economic, cultural and behavioral today depends on the ability to access, gather, analyze and utilize Information and Knowledge. So this paper aims at examining and analyzing the impact of ICT on economic growth of India. Secondary data has been used to arrive at logical conclusion, collected from various government websites and statistical report. The paper concludes with a...

Defined in a broader sense, monetary policy not only includes monetary measures but also non-monetary measures which have monetary effects. In this sense, monetary policy covers a wide range of policies and measures. It includes not only monetary measures which influence the cost and availability of money but also those non-monetary measures which influence monetary situations. Thus, non-monetary measures such as control of prices or wages, physical control, budgetary measures, income policy measures, etc. would be included with in the scope of monetary policy defined in broader sense in so far as their primary aim is to influence the monetary situation.

From decades Geosynthetics are widely used construction materials for geotechnical and environmental applications in most parts of the world. Because they constitute manufactured materials, new products and applications are developed on a routine basis to provide solutions to routine and critical problems alike. Results from recent research and from monitoring of instrumented structures throughout the years have led to new design methods for different applications of geosynthetics. The trajectory of state's growth and development has been progressive since its formation. It has set the example for achievement of significant landmark in its strive as a hub for industrial products evident from the fact that Haryana today is a major manufacturer of passenger cars, motorcycles, tractors, bicycles, refrigerators and scientific instruments. Manufacturing refers to the process of converting raw material into finished goods for use or sale on a large scale with the help of mainly labor and machines. This paper aims at studying the manufacturing status of Haryana, and its contribution to the Gross State Domestic Production (GSDP). There are many manufacturing units in Haryana which help to increase production, employment opportunities and state contribution to India's GDP. Although, the economy of Haryana is mainly agriculture based b...

Organizational practices these days have turned increasingly streamlined and integrated. These focus employee involvement and lay down a strong emphasis on collaboration and shared leadership. This paper seeks to help leaders discover and build on work practices that would support employee retention and morale within the organization. The paper reviews extant literature on organizational culture, leadership, staff morale and retention and later forms conclusions on basis of analysis of data collected through self-administeredquestionnaires.The study reveals two overarching themes, financial compensation and opportunities for growth and development. Strategies recommended are alternate compensation plans, leadership development and succession planning, and mentoring and coaching opportunities.

Economic survey is presented every year shortly before presenting the Union Budget of Govt. of India. Economic Survey provides an opportunity for the government of to spell out its economic agenda. The govt. also represents its issues and priorities. The present paper reviews characteristics of economic survey of Haryana.
