
Francisco Garrido Peña
I was born in Seville on March 25, 1958. I graduated in Philosophy in 1988 from the University of Granada and I also obtained a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Granada in 1996 with a thesis entitled "Political Ecology as a politics of time". I approved the oppositions ofSecondary Professor of Philosophy in 1989 and obtained a full-time associate's position in Philosophy of Law at the University of Almería in the same year. In 1998 I obtained the position of Full Professor of University in Moral Philosophy at the University of Jaén. I have been coordinator of the Moral Philosophy area and member of the Board of Directors of the Criminal Law department. Philosophy of Law. Moral Philosophy. Philosophy-. I am a member of the Faculty of Humanities and Education Sciences, Health Sciences and Social Work Boards. I have taught at the universities of Almería, Granada and Jaén as well as at the International University of Andalusia in the following subjects: Natural Law (Law Degree), Bioethics and ecological ethics (Degree in Biology and Environmental Sciences), Professional Legislation ( Diploma in Nursing), Ethics (Humanities Degree), Applied Ethics (Degree in Geography and History), Ethics and citizenship (Degree in Social Work), Deontology and Professional Legislation (Degree in Physiotherapy), Philosophy of Science (Degree in Archeology) ), Philosophy (Degree in Geography and History), Political Ecology (Master of Agriculture, Livestock and Ecological Forestry UNIA), Bioethics (Master of Research in Health Sciences. UJA), Political Ecology (Master of Agroecology a rural approach to the sustainability, UNIA), Sustainable development and Conflicts, sustainable development and environment (Master Culture of Peace, Conflicts, educa tion and Human Rights. UGR), Theory and practices of feminism (Master equality and prevention of gender violence), Political agroecology and evaluation of public policies (International Diploma of Agroecology for sustainability. Autonomous University of Queretaro. Mexico ). I belong to the body of doctors of the PhD programs Society and Environment of Ecology of the Pablo de Olavide University of Seville and in the Interuniversity Doctorate Program of the Universities of Seville, University of Jaén and the Andalusian School of Public Health, of The latter is a member of its Academic Commission. In 34 student satisfaction surveys over the last ten years, in five degrees it is a different Degree and in five different master's degrees I obtained an average evaluation of 4.42 out of 5 (4.33 in Grades and 4.55 in Master). I have been responsible for the PAIDI Biopolitics research group for 24 years and a member of the Research Ethics Committee of the University of Jaén. I have directed three doctoral theses and I am the director of four ongoing thesis projects. I have three recognized research six-year terms, the last in 2017. My lines of research reflected in different publications in magazines and monographs focus on the fields of Political Ecology, bioethics, experimental ethics and the theory of collective elections and the institutional design in public environmental and public health policies.
