However, it receives less acceptance among practitioners despite being approved as a safe and effective treatment method for major mental health disorders. While there may be many factors that reduce its wide use, one of the factors relates to the knowledge and attitude of people towards this therapy. Since health professionals receive more exposure to such treatments, this study attempts to assess the knowledge and attitude regarding (ECT) Therapy among potential health professionals, and senior Health Sciences Students enrolled at a college in the UAE. Methods: Knowledge and attitudes concerning Electroconvulsive Therapy were assessed using the Attitudes toward (ECT) Therapy questionnaire. The survey was completed by (n=235) senior Health Sciences students at the College of Health Sciences based in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The sample included currently enrolled nursing Radiography & Medical Imaging (RMI) department students. Results: Nursing students expressed more Knowledge about Electroconvulsive Therapy than the RMI students. Student exposure to ECT therapy improves their knowledge and attitudes toward it. Conclusion: Orientation of nursing students as part of their curriculum to the ECT procedure significantly alters their negative attitude toward the ECT. This is justified in the high result of nursing compared to the RMI students.

Generally speaking, the collective effects are a function of the vacuum system geometry and its surface properties. They are usually proportional to the beam currents and can therefore limit the maximum attainable beam intensities. 2.2.8 Luminosity lifetime The luminosity in the LHC is not constant over a physics run, but decays due to the degradation of intensities and emittances of the circulating beams. The main cause of the luminosity decay during nominal LHC operation is the beam loss from collisions. The initial decay time of the bunch intensity, due to this effect, is:

The biggest challenge facing nursing as an academic field is the theory-practice gap, which is a universal issue in nursing. This study aimed to raise solutions to close the gap between theory and practice in nursing education through the eyes of nursing students in UAE. Methods A qualitative descriptive approach was followed; whereby 25 Emirati nursing students were interviewed. Results Two main themes are discussed in this study: ‘Clinical Culture Creation’ and ‘Curriculum Content Reformation’. The students suggested to decreased the loud and stress on their clinical educators. They also suggested creating synchronization between what is taught in classrooms and labs and what is offered in the clinical training. The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the remediation program by comparing students’ performance in two comprehensive Exit Exams delivered before and after the program. A descriptive time-series evaluation design was followed to determine the effectiveness of the remediation program on students’ performance. The study showed that students’ overall performance improved after the delivery of the remediation program interventions. In conclusion, the use of interactive teaching strategies and formative assessments improves student nurses' overall academic performance and learning.

Eighty-five patients were recruited from outpatient psychiatric attendees at the psychiatric hospital, Kingdom of Bahrain. The death anxiety scale was administered to assess death anxiety, and a clinical psychiatric interview was used to assess psychopathology. The mean age of the sample was 36.8 years (SD = 8.8). All subjects who participated in the study were Arabic males; the majority of them were primary school (i.e. first 5 years of education or schooling) educated (n = 57; 67%) and single (n = 48; 56.5%). The total mean of death anxiety score of the drug abusers was high (3.52±.95). One-way ANOVA showed that there was no significant difference among the scores the drug dependents received on the death anxiety scale related to different groups of age, education, type of the drug used, or the number of times of taking drugs per day. However, there was a significant difference in the level of control of use, marital status, duration of use, cigarettes smoking, and level of religiosity. The results of this study indicate that the level of death anxiety is high, in general, among drug abusers and that being divorced, not actively practicing a religious faith, having at least 1-10 years or more than 20 years history of drug abuse, and smoking at least 20 or more cigarettes per day significantly increases the level of death anxiety.

On the other hand, nursing is a profession that has a vital role in maintaining country health well-being and its economy. In this study, the authors used a descriptive, quantitative methodology to study leadership practices and styles of Generation Z (born between 1995 and 1999) Emirati nursing students and explored the impact of those practices and styles on their competence, and performance and their potential to take over the leading position shortly. It was found that the students practice transformational, democratic, and servant leadership more frequently than the laissez-faire, transactional and the autocratic leadership and those styles were highly correlated to student's competence.
