This study aims to provide empirical evidence between the relationship between subjective well-being and problematic internet use in college students. This study is a correlational study of 272 students in West Sumatra. Data were collected using Diener's subjective well-being measurement tool and Caplan's generalized problematic internet use-2 (GPIUS2) which has been adapted into Indonesian. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling. Hypothesis testing using Spearman correlation showed a positive and significant relationship between subjective well-being and problematic internet use in students with r=0, 218 and a significant level of p=0.000 (p<0.05). The direction of the positive relationship means that the higher the subjective well-being, the higher the problematic internet use in students, on the other hand, the lower the subjective well-being, the lower the problematic internet use in students. These results indicate that students' high happiness is associated with strong Internet usage behavior, and the results of this study differ from previous studies.

Current developments and modernization are increasing and greatly influencing a person's lifestyl... more Current developments and modernization are increasing and greatly influencing a person's lifestyle. This research aims to determine the relationship between conformity and hedonic lifestyle in students. This research uses quantitative methods with a correlational approach. The subjects in this research were 272 Padang City students who met the criteria set using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection method in this research uses a hedonic lifestyle scale with a reliability of 0.942 and a conformity scale with a reliability of 0.942. Data analysis uses product moment correlation with the help of the Statistical Package for Sciences (SPSS) 26.0 for Windows program to obtain hypothesis test results with a value of r = 0.372 with a significance value of p = 0.00 (p<0.05). This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between conformity and the hedonic lifestyle of Padang City students, meaning that the higher the student's conformity, the higher the hedonic lifestyle carried out by the student. Overall, the results show that the majority of Padang City students have a moderate conformity and hedonic lifestyle.

Job readiness for the workforce of vocational high school graduates is influenced by several factors, one of which is self-efficacy. This study aims to determine the relationship between selfefficacy and work readiness in vocational students. The method used in this research is quantitative method. In this study, the subjects were 323 SMKN students in Padang city. The data collection method in this study used a self-efficacy scale and a work readiness scale. Data analysis techniques using product moment correlation techniques. The results of hypothesis testing obtained a correlation coefficient value of 0.560 and a significance value of 0.000. This shows that there is a significant positive relationship between self-efficacy and work readiness in vocational students, meaning that the higher the self-efficacy of a student, the higher the work readiness of vocational high school students.

The aim of this research was to determine the relationship between the quality of school life and truant behavior. This research is a quantitative correlation type research. Data collection techniques in this research were a quality of school life scale and a truant behavior scale. The research subjects of this study were 62 grade 11 students from 3 private high schools in Kuranji District, Padang City. The sampling technique uses total sampling. The data analysis technique used is product moment analysis. The results of this hypothesis test show that the correlation coefficient is r=-0.836 with a significance of p=0.00 (p<0.05). The results of this research show that there is a negative relationship between the quality of school life and truancy behavior among private high school students in Kuranji District, Padang City.

University students have a higher vulnerability to experience various mental health problems, the... more University students have a higher vulnerability to experience various mental health problems, therefore attitudes about mental health services are an important component in supporting campus efforts to support students' mental health. This study aims to describe university student attitudes regarding mental health services. The research participants were 998 university students in Sumatera and Java. The measuring instrument used is the Mental Health Help Seeking Attitude Scale (MHSAS). Data analysis showed that 91% of students showed positive attitude towards mental health services and 14% showed a negative attitude. This finding has implications for universities management to further improve literacy related to student mental health services as an effort to prevent mental health problems.

Desain penelitian yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif korelasional. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 89 orang yang diperoleh melalui teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala perilaku seksual yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala perilaku seksual dari (Bana, Hartati & Ningsih, 2018) yang disusun berdasarkan bentuk-bentuk perilaku seksual menurut Sarwono (2010) dan skala harga diri dari  (Adnan, 2018). Data dalam penelitian ini diolah menggunakan teknik statistik korelasi product moment. Hasil penelitian koefisien korelasi r = -0,201 dengan signifikansi p=0,006 (p < 0,05) yang dapat diartikan bahwa dugaan sementara diterima. Tujuan dari kajian literatur ini untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berperan dan mempengaruhi pemalasan sosial. Metode yang digunakan yaitu kajian literatur. Artikel yang direview pada kajian literature berkisar tahun 2010-2020 yang ditelusuri melalui online research data base. Hasil dari penelusuran menunjukkan bahwa pemalasan sosial dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi faktor penentu kesejahteraan subjektif  ma... more Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi faktor penentu kesejahteraan subjektif  mahasiswa di Universitas Negeri Padang. Metode penelitian ini adalah kualitatif eksplorasi dengan jumlah responden sebanyak 115 mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang di Kota Padang yang dipilih melalui teknik cluster sampling. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner yang disebar pada mahasiswa di seluruh fakultas di Universitas negeri Padang di kota Padang. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik dan melalui proses keabsahan data dengan peer debriefing. Penelitian ini menemukan enam tema utama yang menjadi determinan kesejahteraan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang di Kota Padang. Keenam determinan tersebut antara lain adalah faktor individu mahasiswa (32.62%), kepuasan dalam relasi (24.55%), kepuasan akademik (17.36%), ekonomi (12.28%), kepuasan terhadap diri (6.60%), dan afeksi  (6.59%)

This research begin from result of observation and interview with teacher and students in one elementary school. Researcher found a phenomenon that shyness of students in elementary school. This is a experiment research with ABA design. Subject on this research are 2 students based on teacher recommendation. Result from wilcoxon signed ranks test with p = 0.039 (P <0.05) for subject A and p = 0.038 (p < 0.05) for subjects N, which means that there are significant differences between the levels of shyness of student in elementary school which before and after given token economy.

Factors associated with academic cheating on students. This study aims to describe the factors as... more Factors associated with academic cheating on students. This study aims to describe the factors associated with academic dishonesty that academic self-efficacy, self-control, sex and academic achievement. The method used is quantitative correlational. Results of the data analysis of this study showed that self-control, academic self-efficacy and academic achievement together have 10% of the role of academic dishonesty behavior. Academic dishonesty has a significant negative correlation with academic self-efficacy (r =-0.295, p = 0.000 <p 0.005), academic achievement has a negative correlation with academic cheating (r =-0.151, p = 0.042 <p 0.005) and self-control look does not have a significant relationship with academic cheating behavior (r = 0.124, p = 0.079> p0,05).

This article aimed to review: (a) the definition of student well-being and b) measurement of student well-being. The review involved articles published in 2007-2017. The conclusions of this literature review are (a) the definitions used to explain student well-being are based on several approaches, namely mental health, hedonistic and eudaimonic, (b) several aspects that construct the student well-being at school namely dominant positive emotions, school satisfaction, negative emotions, social relations and engagement to school. These findings can provide recommendations for measurement construction and school evaluation related to student well-being.

Bullying occurs starting from the primary level up to college. The impact of the bullying on victims can be a lonely, difficult to adjust, insecurity, low self-esteem, depression and the worst is suicide. The earlier effort to detect bullying experienced by children will be able to prevent long-term effects caused. This study was conducted on 258 students of class 4-5 primary school in Yogyakarta. Data was collected through open-ended questionnaires associated with feelings and experiences of bullying in schools both as perpetrators and victims. The result showed that students feel negative emotions associated with bullying at school and most children experience bullying at school with a variety of forms, ranging from physical, verbal and relational from peers at school. These findings have implications related to the effort to do the school to help students cope with the impact of bullying experienced.

Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik kuesioner yang disebar pada mahasiswa di seluruh fakultas di Universitas negeri Padang di kota Padang. Data yang diperoleh kemudian dianalisis menggunakan analisis tematik dan melalui proses keabsahan data dengan peer debriefing. Penelitian ini menemukan enam tema utama yang menjadi determinan kesejahteraan mahasiswa Universitas Negeri Padang di Kota Padang. Keenam determinan tersebut antara lain adalah faktor individu mahasiswa (32.62%), kepuasan dalam relasi (24.55%), kepuasan akademik (17.36%), ekonomi (12.28%), kepuasan terhadap diri (6.60%), dan afeksi  (6.59%)

This research begin from result of observation and interview with teacher and students in one elementary school. Researcher found a phenomenon that shyness of students in elementary school. This is a experiment research with ABA design. Subject on this research are 2 students based on teacher recommendation. Result from wilcoxon signed ranks test with p = 0.039 (P <0.05) for subject A and p = 0.038 (p < 0.05) for subjects N, which means that there are significant differences between the levels of shyness of student in elementary school which before and after given token economy.

This study aims to describe the factors associated with academic dishonesty that academic self-efficacy, self-control, sex and academic achievement. The method used is quantitative correlational. Results of the data analysis of this study showed that self-control, academic self-efficacy and academic achievement together have 10% of the role of academic dishonesty behavior. Academic dishonesty has a significant negative correlation with academic self-efficacy (r =-0.295, p = 0.000 <p 0.005), academic achievement has a negative correlation with academic cheating (r =-0.151, p = 0.042 <p 0.005) and self-control look does not have a significant relationship with academic cheating behavior (r = 0.124, p = 0.079> p0,05).

This article aimed to review: (a) the definition of student well-being and b) measurement of student well-being. The review involved articles published in 2007-2017. The conclusions of this literature review are (a) the definitions used to explain student well-being are based on several approaches, namely mental health, hedonistic and eudaimonic, (b) several aspects that construct the student well-being at school namely dominant positive emotions, school satisfaction, negative emotions, social relations and engagement to school. These findings can provide recommendations for measurement construction and school evaluation related to student well-being.

Bullying occurs starting from the primary level up to college. The impact of the bullying on victims can be a lonely, difficult to adjust, insecurity, low self-esteem, depression and the worst is suicide. The earlier effort to detect bullying experienced by children will be able to prevent long-term effects caused. This study was conducted on 258 students of class 4-5 primary school in Yogyakarta. Data was collected through open-ended questionnaires associated with feelings and experiences of bullying in schools both as perpetrators and victims. The result showed that students feel negative emotions associated with bullying at school and most children experience bullying at school with a variety of forms, ranging from physical, verbal and relational from peers at school. These findings have implications related to the effort to do the school to help students cope with the impact of bullying experienced.
