The purpose of putting these guarantees into practice for a group of university students with disabilities at the University of Concepción, in Chile is that in 2014 the INCLUDEC (Interdisciplinary Program for Inclusion) was created, whose objective has been to promote an intersectoral view on the inclusion of people with disabilities. This article describes the contributions of the INCLUDEC Program, mainly in the area of accessibility, of an educational institution that has a campus (Campus Concepción) declared a National Monument and how the interdisciplinary look of the program has allowed the development in the institution of inclusive practices, which are a national and international reference in the approach to this issue. The conclusion of this review shows tha...

This study evaluated the effects of replacing 50% of Portland cement with a mixture of three waste materials: ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS), fly ash (FA), and geothermal waste (GS), with and without external alkaline activation, and activated with different alkali agents: 4 and 7% Na2O equivalent of sodium hydroxide, sodium silicate (water glass), and sodium sulfate. After 90 days of curing, samples were characterized using compressive strength tests, scanning electron microscopy, X-ray diffraction, and thermogravimetric analyses. The results showed that sodium hydroxide caused an alkali–silica reaction and reduced the strength, while sodium silicate and sodium sulfate improved the strength and hydration products formation. Moreover, the addition of fly ash decreased the compressive strength but...

Neuropeptide Y (NPY) is a 36 amino acid amidated neuropeptide that occurs in both the central nervous system and peripheral tissues. This neuropeptide is known because its different levels have been reported affect different processes such as stress-related disorders, major depressive disorders and ingestive behavior. NPY is a neurotransmitter produced by chromaffin cells of adrenal medulla, it acts through different G protein-coupled receptors ( Y1 Y2 Y 3 Y 4 Y5) and its important because it stimulated catecholamines release.Catecholamines are nerve-endogenous substances with amine and catechol groups such as epinephrine, norepinephrine and dopamine. These molecules also play an important role in the regulation of the central and peripheral nervous system and they are mostly used to diagnose and treat several disease...

The analysis of the homes built for railroad workers from this housing stock is distinct for four main reasons: it is a housing stock with a representative number of homes in relation to the total of social housing built in Spain, which is still mostly in use and covers all the typologies used in the country and which is dispersed throughout it. Thus, for the present analysis, there is a sample that is adequately representative of the whole stock of social housing constructed in Spain, this sample enables a comparative global analysis that can be extrapolated to the remaining stock. The objective of this study is to analyse the energy efficiency of homes through the thermal analysis of the envelope, as well as to acknowledge the specific constructive limitations of these homes and if possible, their rehabilitation that guarantees compliance with the required standards regarding sustainability and energy efficiency set by the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) established in the 2030 Agenda. This is a crucial goal to achieve, as the Spanish building stock currently consumes 30% of the total energy consumed, in addition to the socioeconomic profile and the potential for energy poverty, there is a portion of social housing with a precarious construction lacking the heating facilities, which is required due to the weather, with a significant potential for savings and the incorporation of renewable energies.

The above mentioned investigation was carried out to verify if constant quarrels and possible divorce have been affected sons and daughters in a positive or negative way. In addition, if this reverberates in their daily lives, environment, behavior and emotions. Participants were interviewed and many of them agree in many of the answers, but, also, it is important that from their different experiences each one developed different personalities, behavior and diverse emotions that will be shown along the work.

In this way, mobility constitutes an increasingly massive, recurrent, and complex social practice, strongly conditioned by the existing levels of inequality and particularly those that entail processes of social exclusion. In the present research, the efficiency of the modality of adapted public transportation for people with disabilities in the city of León, Guanajuato, Mexico, which came into operation in 2012, receiving the 2019 Building Equality Award from the International Center for the Promotion of Human Rights and United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), is analyzed. The management, design, and implementation of Inclusive Urban Transportation (TÜI), demonstrated how the articulation of actors (public, private, and civil society) are of vital importanc...

The abstract needs to be better written; remember that the current context, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions must be mentioned briefly, clearly, and concisely. The word short communication should be kept from saying. The following modifications should be considered for the possible publication of the manuscript.

Thus, these sectors’ waste accumulation problem is related to the environmental protection system and proper waste management. On the other hand, it is well known that proper waste disposal can increase its value. In this way, the economic potential of the trash can be raised again. Therefore, this article will examine the economic potential of construction and demolition (C & D) waste. Different waste management processes will be analyzed to better understand the topic from a financial perspective in this area underway in Spain. Therefore, data from other regions of Spain were collected. This data led to results where the most expensive rooms were Pais Vasco and the Balearic Islands, where disposal of C & D waste had the highest prices, exceeding EUR 30 per ton. Conversely, the lowest prices are found in regions such as Navarre and Andalusia, where prices per t...

We analyse its impact at the urban level, assessing whether there is urban regeneration and to what extent; its impact at a functional level, assessing the change in activity as well as the effect on the user, transfer, or dismantling of the railway activity; its impact at an architectural level, assessing whether the actions are global or merely at the level of facade. As a final reflection, we outline the issue of the possibility of reuse in historical railway stations associating it with heritage preservation. The proposed selection contemplates actions in small and large stations and locations; total, partial, and zero dismantling actions in the tracks or the station plot and, finally, new uses ranging from the mixed solution of railway activity and shopping cen...

We will start from an urban analysis on issues of mobility, growth and planning; remembering that each city has an undeniable heritage and that sometimes there are limitations and / or modifications that do not allow access to the entire population for their enjoyment and enjoyment. The focus of this research is aimed at finding similarities in Latin America, generating sustainable proposals without altering the heritage and being valued without conditioning their visit-tour by physical limitations in the planning of the city. The elements of analysis are: accessibility and mobility projects in Latin America in the case studies, regulations, universal design manuals for an approach to obtain inclusive cities, without limits or visible and / or physical barriers. Guanajuato with a social dynamic, interacting in its streets and alleys, conditioning for any visitor due to its topography. Tunja as a road articulator node; with architectural and cultural heritage in its foundational square, real streets and processional roads, rugged topography and identity rooted in the daily life of its inhabitants, events scene: mobility - public space. Bogotá, capital city with greater extension and population, economic-commercial and political centrality; It conserves its historic center and is the starting point of research for its contrast: metropolitan city / heritage elements. Historical masonry buildings are earthquake prone structures due to the missing structural integrity by the low tensile strength of masonry, heavy inertial forces, large openings and structural elements with different in-plane and out-of-plane behavior, especially when detached from the rest of the building. The two large seismic events damaged 2340 architectural heritage buildings, mainly in the States of Puebla, Morelos and Mexico. The observed damages during post-earthquake investigations ranged from moderate to heavy, with partial and total collapses, mainly in vaulted systems and bell towers. The presented damage identification and failure propagation description allowed to generate practical schematic representations of crack patterns in several structural elements such as domes, vaulted covers, façades, bell towers and so on, providing valuable information that can be useful to propose suitable rehabilitation and retrofitting works. The 2017 earthquakes also generated uncountable damages in different cultural assets including retables, painted murals and bells, being of great cultural and historical value. The main causes of the observed damages in masonry structures are also due to the lack of maintenance, previous structural modifications and inadequate interventions. Continuous and correct maintenance of structures is indispensable to reduce the possible damages due to earthquakes. Thus, a detailed structural assessment of the buildings is always necessary to carry out an adequate intervention according to the criteria of restoration.

In order to protect these buildings belonging to the patrimony of the humanity from this hazard, we need to understand the construction materials, structural elements and loading transmission mechanism. Moreover, to rehabilitate or retrofit them, it is necessary to develop an understanding process of the structure though monitoring and in-situ/laboratory experimental tests to stablish a diagnosis. The structural monitoring campaigns are helpful to investigate the mechanical and dynamic properties of the building. The use of installed thermal cameras and micro-sensors at strategic parts of the historical buildings represent a very interesting and non-destructive option to measure different parameters constantly and for long periods of ...
