It obtained roots from the inherent differences appropriated from the colonial period. Public and scholarly discussions have brought to the lime light the various stakes as to the problem. The various opinions have in due course been based on state responds in both national decisions and the conflict to be precise. Based on this background, this chapter probes into the origin, manifestation and the various political debates animated so far from 1961 to 2019 as well as efforts made to end or resolve the ongoing Anglophone crisis. Both primary and secondary sources of data were carefully analysed in arriving at the conclusions of this paper. An analysis of the data reveals that, the Anglophone crisis of 2016 has been the most outstanding challenge and a threat to the foundation of national unity and the territorial integrity of Cameroon. This explains the urgent political joint and individual ventures by Cameroonians of all works of life as well as external bodies at resolving the ongoing Anglophone crisis.

The excitement that greeted Africa's independence in the early 1960s soon dissipated as the continent got engulfed in conflicts. The African continent therefore has been seriously affected by wars and conflicts that ranged from ritualized vendettas of tribal society to the revolutionary guerillas of modern times. Within the period 2002-2016, the Central African Republic was engrossed in a civil war that attracted sustained internal and external efforts towards its resolution. This study focuses on the African organizational as well as indigenous efforts in the resolution of the CAR Conflict. The paper is divided into two parts excluding the introduction and the conclusion. Part one deals with the roles of the various African Organizations towards the resolution of the conflict while the second part dwells on the role of indigenous NGOs and Civil Society Organizations. The paper argues that conflicts in Africa can be better and effectively handled by organizations and groups within Africa. This is logical as they can easily relate to the conflict and therefore more likely to understand the issues at stake. They should mostly depend on the international community for financial and logistical support if the need arises. The study is based on the use of primary and secondary sources that are keenly analyzed to arrive at its conclusions.

Governments have increasingly turned to the UN to deal with ethnic and national conflicts that have flared up in many regions of the world especially in the postcold war era. All member states of the UN ought to share in the burden of maintaining international peace and security financially and in making security personnel available for such purposes. This therefore calls for burden sharing in carrying out this task. The paper analyses the roles played by African states in this burden sharing towards UN peacekeeping operations. It also identified the active participants from Africa and reasons were adduced for such regularity. The paper makes use of primary, secondary and tertiary sources to arrive at its conclusions. It is the conclusion of this paper that African states participate in UN peacekeeping operations and other aspects of burden sharing though at a lower scale. Some active participants from Africa are identified and they do so for the interest of the international community and most especially for their private interest. This explains why most of them participate mainly in African based conflicts due to its spill over quality and also due to their quest for regional or sub regional power status.

The journey of decolonizing African science involves a profound recognition of this historical bias and the endeavor to restore indigenous knowledge to its rightful place. This article explores contemporary efforts, challenges, and future directions within this crucial mission. Contemporary Africa is witnessing a resurgence of interest in its indigenous knowledge systems, spanning agriculture, medicine, environment, and culture. Curriculum reforms are underway, aiming to weave indigenous knowledge into the educational fabric, nurturing cultural relevance. Indigenous knowledge centers have sprung up to systematically study and promote traditional wisdom. Language revival initiatives are bridging linguistic gaps, democratizing access to knowledge. Yet, formidable challenges persist, including limited resources, language barriers...

It should be noted that the major agricultural activities in the region are cereal, tuber, and cattle rearing. This accounts for why crop farmers and cattle farmers are at loggerheads for space acquisition for either farming or cattle rearing. In the midst of these activities, the role of women is paramount as they are the principal actors, especially in the farming sector, and thus face the brunt from those of cattle rearing. In Aghem, the arrival of herdsmen in the 1920s posed a lot of challenges, especially to the women who were engaged in the cultivation of crops. As a consequence, they had to take action either through peace talks, protests, the killing of the cattle, and other forms of manifestation. The study used both primary and secondary sources explored and exploited to comprehensively analyse the facts. Also, the use of qualitative ana...
