Based on documents from Ukrainian and American depositories, the article focuses on the longstanding search for the partly lost and partly displaced archive of the Kiev Institute of Jewish Proletarian Culture. This largest Soviet Jewish scholarly establishment functioned (in various forms) from 1926 to 1949. The first results of the search appeared in volume 7 (2012) of the Archive. This article presents a description and analysis of the findings made in the following years. Most importantly, the author has succeeded in discovering the main corpus of the lost collection. He also traces the previously unknown circumstances of its history.
