This study investigated the relationship between job satisfaction and job involvement among secon... more This study investigated the relationship between job satisfaction and job involvement among secondary school teachers in Ihube, Okigwe Imo State. A total of 80 participants comprising forty six (46) male and thirty four (34) female teachers were drawn using simple random sampling. They were between the ages of 26-59 years, with a mean age of 38.6 years. The choice of design was correlational design. Two Questionnaires were used in the study which was a 20-item Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire and a 6-item Job Involvement Subscale. Statistical analysis using Pearson Product Moment Correlation Coefficient revealed a significant relationship between job satisfaction and job involvement among employees r(78)=0.56,P<.05. The results and implications were discussed and suggestions made for further researches.

It is against this background that the research looks into social connectedness with family and friends and the perceived alienation in political and socio-economic domains of life and examined their relationship with psychological well-being. Two hundred and forty participants were drawn from the Ministries of Education (46), Health (60), Labour (35), Sports (32), Agriculture, Water and natural resources (67). The study investigated perceived psychosocial determinants of female criminality. 150 respondents... more The study investigated perceived psychosocial determinants of female criminality. 150 respondents comprising 82 females and 68 males selected from the three (3) Metropolitan Local Governments in Enugu State were used as sample. The participants were within the age bracket of 25-55 years with a mean age of 35 years. A 15 item questionnaire designed to measure perceived psychosocial determinants of female criminality was used for data collection. Survey research design was adopted while Chi-square statistics was used for data analysis. Findings revealed that broken home was perceived as a determinant of female criminality X2= 126.84 P<.001. A significant outcome was also observed on poor parental monitoring as a perceived determinant of female criminality X2= 161.6 P<.001. Findings were discussed in relation with the literature reviewed and recommendations were also made.

A total of 174 participants, comprising of 117 females and 57 males, aged between 18 – 40 years with a mean age of 24.99 years and SD of 4.56 were administered with three instruments: Kahn, Wolfe, Quinn and Snoek’s Job-related Tension Inventory; Hackman and Oldham’s Job Characteristics Scale and Meyer, Allen and Smith’s three dimensional Organisational Commitment Questionnaire. A cross sectional survey design was employed in the study. Two scales which include Job role discretion scale (Hackman & Oldham, 1975) and Ethical behaviour inventory (Kanu, 2009) were used in gathering the data for the study. This study examined the clinical features of patients diagnosed with Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF).... more This study examined the clinical features of patients diagnosed with Vesicovaginal Fistula (VVF). 125 medical records of patients with VVF were reviewed. The patients were between the ages of 17 to 65 years (M = 34.05; SD = 5.84). The participants were sampled using convenience sampling technique from National Obstetric Fistula Centre, Abakaliki and Gynaecology department Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital, Nnewi. Ex- post facto design was adopted while descriptive (%) and quantitative (Chi-Square (X 2 ) statistics was applied in testing the hypotheses. The result revealed that clinical features (rejection = 64.29%; X 2 = 21, and depression = 73.81%; X 2 = 31.85) all at p<.001 level of significance had significant difference on patients diagnosed with VVF. A total number of 120 adolescents (71 males and 49 females) selected from Government Technical College (G.T.C.) Abakaliki, Ebonyi State were used as sample for the study. Participants who were within the age range of 12-18years with a mean age of 16 years were selected using convenience sample. Two instruments were used Parenting style Scale, (Baumrind (1971)) and Emotional Intelligence scale (EIS), (Schutte et al, 1998). The study investigated parenting style and self-esteem as predictors of moral behaviour among ado... more The study investigated parenting style and self-esteem as predictors of moral behaviour among adolescents. One hundred and seventy (170) adolescents; 79 males and 91 females selected from Caritas University, Enugu reported on their parent-child rearing practice and the level of their self-esteem. The participants were within the age bracket of 17-21 years with a mean age of 19.6 years. Parental care scale (PCS) (1971), Hare Self Esteem Scale (HSS) (1985) and Ethical Moral Self Inventory Fitts (EMSI) (1965) were used for data collection. Regression statistics was used for data analysis. Findings revealed a significant prediction of self-esteem and authoritative parenting style on moral behaviour among adolescent respectively (β=.89, P<.001; β=.124, p<.001). Participants within the age range of 1519 years were selected from two Secondary Schools in Enugu metropolis, Enugu State, Nigeria. The result showed that a significant positive relationship exist between high selfesteem and internal locus of control among well functioning adolescents (r= .46, p < 0.01). Two hundred and eighty participants (280) were drawn using convenience sampling from the University Communities of Enugu State University of Science and Technology, Enugu and Caritas University Enugu. One hundred and ninety (190) were married while ninety (90) were single. Also the age ranges of the participants were 28 to 63years, with a mean age of 44.83 and standard deviation of 9.04. 100% of the participants were of Igbo ethnic group in the South East region of Nigeria. Adopting a correlational design, Pearson moment correlation statistics was used to analyze the data.
