Over the last decade or so I have been privately putting out my father, Yechi'el Meisels' (Yichl Kessl) (1908-1995), writings in Yiddish. He wrote about the Holocaust, both in prose and poetry. These writings should be of interest to Yiddish literature readers in general, and to researchers of the various Yiddish dialects (Y. Meisels' is the Austro-German one).Y. Meisels' writings may also be of interest to researches who study Holocaust survivors' accounts - especially those relating to illegal refugees in France during WW2 , to Jews in Nazi occupied Galicia and to Russian POW in Nazi stalags.
