This dissertation focused on the study of the internationalization of an engineering department at the University of Minho. Case study was the chosen research method throughout this project, in order to evaluate in real context this situation and other cases. By using documentary research, it was possible to verify several sources, compare and triangulate the data, in order to create generalized information. Initially, the project started with a literature review on the topic of internationalization, to better understand this concept and extract strategies and obtain which indicators to bear in mind. Afterwards it was made a compilation of the obtained data that lead to the creation of a structure with different categories into which the different were fit in. The project then proceeded with a standardized mapping of different international website layouts, to better understand the current situation abroad. At the same time, this gave the possibility to discover the best schemes to disclose the information and to find out what information is being exposed. Afterwards, it proceeded with the diagnostic of the structure and information disposition of the department's website under study. This study used the same standardized method applied on mapping to better investigate and compare results. Finally, after all the comparison and analysis of the situation, a disclosure model was proposed, whose purpose is to use it as theoretical-practical base to the development of the website. This dissertation concludes with some prospective outlook and advices to future work to be done.
