The position of women is measured globally by the participation of women in politics and their empowerment. Women endure seriously underrepresented in decision making process. The aim of this paper is study the challenges, statistical data information's, about empowerment of women political participation in India, the findings of the study appears that various factors like Social, religious, economic and cultural factors confers to women's poor political participation in the entire country. In accordance with the statistics on women participation in politics is slowly increasing but not drastically as we see women participation from 1952 to till now (2019) in India. But still consciousness should be create among women to participate in politics with braveness and to secure women's rightful place in society and to allow them to decide their own future and for the development of rightful and sustainable democracy in this regard women's participation in public life will resolve several problems of society.
