Iguanas' initial weight was registered, and the practitioners sent qì to them for 15 minutes, twice a week. After 6 weeks the iguanas' weight was recorded again. Both animals increased their body weight, they displayed changes in the smoothness of their skin, and they shifted their behavior being more actives in their terrarium.

The students in the interviews reported having better moods, greater vitality, better concentration, better posture, and less pain. Under medical supervision, three of the students began to reduce their doses of injected insulin. The students' blood pressure did not change.
Although the sample of the present study was small (fourteen students), for the first time with these results, Mexico contributed to the hundreds of studies around the world that prove that zhìnéng qìgōng 智能气功 is an effective therapy for diabetic and overweight people.

A total of 64 micro fragments were randomly divided forming the control and experimental groups. The 32 micro fragments of the experimental group received a non-invasive qì treatment during10 minutes for 3 weeks. The survival and growth of both groups was recorded. The corals that received the external treatment survived to a greater extent than those which had not receive it. The corals that received qì grew more compared to the corals which did not receive qì. The micro fragments that received qì were more resistant to contamination by ciliates. It is suggested to perform more trials with a greater population number.

In oral interviews, some students reported decreased pain in legs, knees, joints, sciatic nerve, lower back, and when crouching. Other students reported decreased an umbilical hernia, elimination of a chronic cough and correction of the spine. Most of them also noticed enhanced physical performance, better posture, greater strength, more vitality, higher self-esteem, improved tranquility, greater tolerance, more patience, higher concentration, and less stress.
With nineteen students as a sample, this study showed that zhìnéng qìgōng practice is able to improve the quality of life of people who practice it.
The effects of the emission of qì by a zhìnéng qigong instructor on the growth of shoots of Dahli... more The effects of the emission of qì by a zhìnéng qigong instructor on the growth of shoots of Dahlia brevis in tissue culture was studied. With a total population of eighty shoots, the control group and the experimental group were randomly formed. The experimental group received qì for 30 minutes, 3 times a week for 5 weeks. The length of the shoots was measured; the number of shoots that developed roots was recorded; the number of depressions presented by the culture medium was documented and the data were statistically analyzed. The experimental group did not present statistically significant difference in the length of the shoots in relation to the control group. However, the average length of the shoots of the experimental group was greater than that of the control group. The number of shoots that developed roots of the experimental group was almost double compared to the control group. The shoots treated with qì formed thicker and more abundant roots and presented a better-defined plant shape. The emission of qì also seemed to influence the culture medium, decreasing the number of depressions formed in the experimental group.

Abstract - The qì emission effects on Pseudodiploria genus corals affected by the white syndrome ... more Abstract - The qì emission effects on Pseudodiploria genus corals affected by the white syndrome in the Puerto Morelos Reef National Park, Quintana Roo, Mexico, attempted to be studied. 18 coral colonies were part of the control and experimental groups. The 9 colonies of the experimental group received the noninvasive treatment of external qì (with free diving and scuba diving) for 5 minutes, summing up 15 nonconsecutive days of treatment. Unfortunately, it was not possible to measure the diseased area in coral
colonies neither perform the statistical analysis, therefore we were not able to conclude if receiving external qì affected the diseased area. A visual analysis of the colonies is presented hoping that the experience obtained in the present study can be used in future projects.
