For each of these areas, this paper discusses how audio feedback was successfully (and sometimes unsuccessfully) used, often with supporting examples. The PVA product discussed is a third generation product and is being sold and adopted in the marketplace Without the benefit of audio feedback and audio cues it is believed that its success would not have been possible. The purpose of this paper is to give the background and context of a workshop demonstration to be held at the conference.

What, in particular, are the male pleasures that are made in the knowing and telling of machines? Reflecting upon a small selection of the variety of machinic pleasures, the paper considers the ecology of subject-object distribution and explores how it is we are called to become knowing subjects, and how it is that objects are constituted and known in particular ways. Keywords Interpellation; performance; pleasures; technology; subject position.

Five thousand years before Luke Skywalker's successful assault on the Death Star, the Sith Lord Marka Ragnos ruled the galaxy. That is, until his death ignited a battle for ascension that would spell the end for his empire - and nearly the entire galaxy! It would be another thousand years before two young Jedi novices Ulic Qel-Droma and Nomi Sunrider would rise for the cause of justice, first in the case of a Jedi-killing Hutt, and then against a dark Jedi spirit threatening to engulf an entire planet! Containing the Tales of the Jedi stories "The Golden Age of the Sith," "The Fall of the Sith Empire," and "Knights of the Old Republic" this humongous omnibus is the ultimate introduction to the ancient history of the Star Wars universe!

Despite long being thought the ‘benign’ counter to ‘malignant’ Plasmodium falciparum, it imposes significant burdens of severe morbidity and mortality. Global malaria mortality is by no means most heavily weighted upon a single continent by a single species. The biology of P. vivax differs from P. falciparum in many respects, but the single most important is ability to place dormant forms in the liver – an infectious bite yields a single attack of falciparum malaria within a week or so, versus multiple clinical attacks of vivax malaria stemming from a single infectious bite over as much as 2 or 3 years. This is why aggressive diagnosis, treatment, along with extensive bed net and/or IRS coverage have little impact on vivax malaria – the dominant reservoir of infection is not the mosquito, but the human liver.

Bob Cooper, Director of Sira Certification Service (a IECEx certification body), explains the scheme, its groundings in international compliance, its framework and progress to date.
