The most common problems may include installation of distribution boards, selection of different hardware for different load ratings, etc. Often, a potential user avoids going for such systems as installations want major modification, are quite expensive & cumbersome. There"s nothing simpler than connecting an automation system simply by bypassing the existing system and also using the same system irrespective of the voltage rating. To add basic level of automation i.e. detection of any switching of a device, we have come up with a device called "Universal Detector" with added communication feature. This concept is presented by the use of an external GSM modem which acts as a communication interface between the user and the device. Universal Detector is a retrofit-able device with the key feature being its low cost and wide voltage range literally making it "Universal".

Maintaining and protecting the Grid without compromising on availability and reliability needs a continuous monitoring of the real time scenario. Real time monitoring coupled with Remote Management of assets is a key requirement. This requires acquiring and communicating huge quantum of data from the field level in real time. Rapid development in the electronic technology with high reliability of systems, increased communication bandwidths, better system performances would make introducing digital technology a reliable and a cost effective solution for achieving the above. This paper talks on all the required hardware, standards and schemes pertaining to the Digital substations thus evolved, where the information acquisition, transmission and its processing is completely digitized. The digital substation constitutes smart primary equipment, networked secondary equipment and automated operations through which all the required data from the field is communicated to the control centers in a secure and faster way. IEDs like Protection Relays, Bay control units, condition Monitoring devices, Disturbance records/ Power quality Monitors are required to be integrated. Protection and Automation applications based on IEC61850 standard has become necessity enabling interoperability and Standardization.

This paper proposes a Blood Bank Management System (BMMS) which can be used by laboratories, clin... more This paper proposes a Blood Bank Management System (BMMS) which can be used by laboratories, clinics, hospitals, or anyone who is in need of blood. The proposed system would be able to connect the requester and donor through a safe web-based platform with a simple registration process. This improper management of blood leads to wastage of the available blood inventory. The methodology that has been chosen to develop BMMS is the Rational Unified Process (RUP). The methodology consists of four phases namely Inception, Elaboration, Construction, and Transition. Some important modifications to this methodology include admin access to registered user's data and a personal notification alert system. This study found out that this system puts an end to the fear caused during an emergency period and reduces the hassle of manual paper-based data entries. GPS tracking via registration and Cloud Storage for scalability can further improve the feasibility and Data processing of the presented system.

The objective is to create an intelligent classroom that minimizes the need for teachers to carry hardware and maximizes their use of lecture time. The Smart Classroom has the capability to actively monitor and engage teachers in class discussions, even with remote students. The paper highlights the benefits and key technologies underlying this system. The said system uses a single USB drive for uploading the teaching material, and presenting it in the classroom, without having to carry heavy laptops. The system also consists of an app that will allow the professor to roam around the class and still navigate through presentation slides.

The traditional method of metal scrap collection is inefficient, costly, and human-dependent. Manual handling faces many difficulties in handling and providing efficient solutions. A conceptual approach of smart metal scrap collection to provide truck routing solution based on web-system. In this paper, we proposed a fusion of hardware and software to efficiently solve the problem of end-to-end trucking in metal scrap collection. With the help of hardware employed on collection bins located at various locations, all the real-time data can be gathered for the corresponding location. To use this data, data extraction from the database is carried out. Subsequently, data is pre-processed and analysed, and then a suitable algorithm applied results in providing an efficient solution. Based on this a smart efficient truck routing solution is provided with an interactive dashboard which contributes towards a completely organized system. The hardware mainly consists of NodeMCU, Load Cell, HX711 Amplifier, and Power supply mounted on acrylic sheets which showcase the weight with high accuracy. A human interface which is developed by Python, HTML and CSS to represent the results in pie chart form along with the alert notification as per system requirement. Hence the above system helps the user with real-time scrap monitoring, to estimate the metal scrap collection and accordingly to decide the plan of action to solve the problem in the fastest way with full utilization of available capacity.

EMI being generated because of the circuit in the discussion itself or due to other electronic circuits is one of the critical reasons behind failures of circuits that do not have enough EMI protection. Issues due to EMI often hamper the development process and is a time-consuming and costly manoeuvre. This paper discusses the possible sources of EMI in a system we designed to incorporate microwaves, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and a high wattage AC supply. This paper aims to discuss two design iterations which are chronologically discussed wherein the second iteration of the design aims to mitigate the EMI problems in the first design iteration. The changes are discussed as methods to stop or reduce the effect of the interfering signals. Furthermore, the paper will present proven guidelines which were used in this application for designing any other application with microwaves, circuits involving magnetic field, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE), and high wattage AC supply, to minimise EMI problems.

Typical Heavy Industrial Applications like Induction Welding & Annealing require operating on High power and High frequencies of the order of 100kwatt / 100 kHz. This Paper Proposes a voltage source series resonant convertor for high power (100kw) Induction heating application. It uses soft switching for the two-leg IGBT based Invertor which switches at variable frequency between 80 KHz to 100 KHz. A model is considered with Ron =1μ Ohm with Ton & Toff = 0 Sec. Notice boards can change the way people communicate with each other, providing important information to large people at the right time. Notice boards are used extensively in schools, colleges, hospitals, railway stations, hotels, malls, etc. The developed system includes the notice board being connected to a local server running on Raspberry Pi 24*7. The notice to be displayed can be sent via the developed Android application or from the webpage. The data is then sent onto the server where it is pushed in a backend MySQL database. From the database, the contents of the notice are then displayed on the Monitor. The system provides an authentication layer to avoid any unauthorized activities since the target audience for the prototype developed is mainly schools and colleges. Thus 3 phases are working simultaneously to give a 3 phase AC supply using the concept of Multilevel Inverters. . The hardware is broken down into Main and Driver circuits where the main circuit includes the switching circuitry and th e driver board comprises of the triggering circuitry.
