As such, optimization of gearbox transmission systems remains a challenging problem faced by researchers and designers for numerous years. In the present work, three objectives viz volume, power output and centre-distance are investigated simultaneously. A two-stage spur gearbox design problem is formulated with eight design variables viz. face-width (stage 1), face-width (stage 2), shaft diameter (stage 1), shaft diameter (stage 2), module, pinion teeth number(stage 1) and pinion teeth number (stage 2) considered. Two geometric and three design constraints are formulated. Pareto frontiers are generated using NSGA-II evolutionary algorithm. The Pareto frontier is investigated using decision tools viz. FUZZY, LINMAP and TOPSIS and the best solutions selected using the deviation index. Validation of results was done using previous reports in the literature and geometric modelling software. Variation and sensitivity studies indicate that module, pinion tooth number and face-width variables had a higher influence on volume as compared to power output and centre-distance. The combined optimization of volume, centre-distance and power output reveals key insights for the design of compact gearboxes.

The research employed the mixed research approach. Using a sample size of 37, data was collected and analysed. The research revealed that procurement activities in ENI oil Exploration Company involves effective planning, sourcing, and contract management. It also found that e-procurement has been adopted by employees in ENI oil Exploration Company to a large extent. Factors influencing the implementation of e-procurement in the supply chain of ENI are primarily user acceptance of new information system, as well as Information quality, trust, and risk perception. Mean ranking revealed that the major implication of e-procurement on the supply chain include centralized purchasing function, decrease in size of buying centre, altered vendors and suppliers relationship, ability to measure and monitor orders, sales personnel ability to check all sales related information on his/her computer and employees empowerment to manage purchasing and cost saving.

Towards this end, corporate governance measures are instituted to make the executives or management of business organizations accountable for their stewardships of the organizational resources or shareholders' investments. It is against that backdrop that the Securities and Exchange Commission in Ghana has also developed a code on best practices on corporate governance. However, the extent to which the provisions in the code are consistent with the theoretical and empirical literature is unknown. This paper, therefore, sought to explore whether or not gaps exist between the corporate governance policy and practices in Ghana and extant literature. This paper achieves this by examining characteristics of the board as they exist in Ghana in relations to the literature. The characteristics examined in this paper include responsibilities, optimal size, independence, board composition, and audit and compensation committees of boards. Recommendations are made based on the literature to address gaps that exist.

The variables relationships were established through case study research design using Energy Bank Ghana Limited. The study adopted convenience sampling technique to select a sample of 92 bank customers. Primary data were collected using questionnaires and all 92 bank customers responded positively. The Chi-square and multiple regression analyses were used to test the hypotheses. The findings show that each variable was found to be effective in determining customers ’relationship marketing. The most widely adopted CRM practice in commercial banks was conflict handling followed by Reliability, Communication, Service quality, Empathy, Trust, Customer relations, Commitment, Staff Competence. Responsiveness is the least adopted practice. The study further investigated the impact of customer relationship marketing on customer satisfaction in commercial banks. ...

To achieve this, studies examined the ownership and usage of e-zwich smart cards, established challenges of e-zwich payment system in Ghana and determine factors that are responsible for the challenges of the e-zwich payment system in Ghana. The research study employed the qualitative research design. The population for the research comprised of 368,217 Representatives and Senior Officers 25 selected Banking and Financial Institutions from the Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipality. The sample size of 100 for the study was determined using the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) formula. Respondents for the study were then chosen using the purposive sampling technique. Data collection instruments employed for the study is questionnaires and interview. The study found that there is a high preference for Electronic Payment Systems (EPS) by the youthful population. Most people ...

While analysing current retailing context in India, it is visible that there become two types of retailors as major players Organised Retailors and Unorganised Retailors. Organised Retailors are run by corporate conglomerates and follows huge marketing programs from loyalty programs to CSR. But unorganised retailors are small convenience stores mostly self-employed are also playing a major part in Indian economy. Major researches on their problems and development are still lacking. This paper is made an attempt on Unorganized Retailors Buying Pattern with Special Reference to Non Alcoholic Drink.
