A theoretical-didactic proposal based on variational ideas and the use of GeoGebra is described a... more A theoretical-didactic proposal based on variational ideas and the use of GeoGebra is described as a response to a local problem on the understanding of the concept of function and quadratic equation in pre-university students. The theoretical elements of this work are based on the understanding of concepts and the theory of semiotic registers and representations, while the methodological references were based on hypothetical learning trajectories and the use of dynamic software, considered as a heuristic resource. The proposal was validated by means of expert criteria. This elaboration contributes with a proposal that breaks with the classical schemes of presentation and treatment of the content, which favors through the incorporation of variational ideas generated with the dynamic software GeoGebra the understanding of the articulated concepts of function and quadratic equation in pre-university students.

Se inicia el tratamiento en el registro geometrico para evitar que influyan las nociones previas que se tengan del sistema cartesiano y de las representaciones. EnglishA theoretical-didactic strategy is presented with a variational approach that favors the formation of the concept of linear function and that breaks with the classic presentation treated in the texts and other support resources that usually accompany the teaching and learning processes of the concept, in the pre-university level. The treatment begins in the geometric register to avoid the influence of notions related to the cartesian system and the representations.

A hypothetical learning trajectory line is described for the assimilation and fixation of the con... more A hypothetical learning trajectory line is described for the assimilation and fixation of the concept of height of a triangle for its treatment in pre-university. The theoretical and methodological basis is based on the processes of assimilation, learning trajectories, problem solving and the use of GeoGebra software. This work provides a didactic proposal aimed at the teacher, different from the classic presentation for the treatment of the concept of height, highlighting that the use of the software favors the processes of assimilation of this concept through the dynamic-visual activity, use of the geometric and numerical resource that this technological tool makes possible.

The theoretical-methodological elements fall into the heuristic principles and resources and the use of GeoGebra software, on this basis is conceived the identification, selection and formalization of the way of solution, control and assessment as fundamental stages. This work contributes to a proposal to approach the treatment of the study of the variation of the functions, prior to the classic presentation of the mathematical content using the derivative.

In this sense, an investigation is carried out on the understanding of the concept of improper integral, a basic concept from the first courses of Bachelor of Mathematics for subsequent courses. The objective is to characterize the understanding of this mathematical concept through a proficiency model for this purpose, an instrument was designed that was applied to second-year university students. The research is qualitative exploratory and is based on the framework of the Theory of records of semiotic representations.

El trabajo se fundamento en las teorias sobre errores y dificultades que emergen en los procesos de ensenanza y aprendizaje de las definiciones y en la resolucion de problemas. Las dificultades de tipo conceptual, espacial y de aplicacion y los errores que emergieron durante la exploracion se relacionan con los ejemplos sobre rectas notables en casos particulares de triangulos, dificultades en las representaciones no estandar, errores de identificacion y representacion, respuestas equivocas o parcialmente correctas.

This paper describes a didactic strategy to introduce the concept of continuous function in pre-u... more This paper describes a didactic strategy to introduce the concept of continuous function in pre-university students, based on functions defined in pieces. The theoretical-methodological elements that made possible the exploration design fall in the records of semiotic representation, the formation, and definition of concepts and in the didactic functions of the class. As a result of the experimentation, it was found that the didactic strategy favored in the students the identification of the conditions that guarantee the continuity of a function in a point and under this scheme the step to the classical definition.
