Anas Alabbadi
For over two decades, Anas has engaged in several professional programs in the area of peace and conflict resolution, interfaith & intercultural dialogue, education and youth empowerment and participation – including policy engagements in these areas. His experience includes developing strategies, programmes design, implementation, and assessment; consultation, training, and facilitation of groups from diverse international and cultural backgrounds. Designed capacity building programmes, developed training resources, and conducted trainings in areas related to, and included, religious leaders, educators, social workers, refugees & migrants, social
media activists, women, and youth. He worked for the International Dialogue Centre (KAICIID) from 2014 to 2022, where he developed several flagship programmes (including the International Fellows programme) and led several teams. In his last position as Deputy Director of the Programmes Department, Anas led and oversaw management of all teams and programmes within the Department; this include regional programmes such as Africa, Arab, Asia, and Europe regions, and global programmes, such as the Fellows, E-learning and online resources among other capacity development programmes.
He is the author of The Role of Culture in International Negotiation: the Jordanian-Israeli Peace Negotiation as a
Case-Study (Beyrouni publishers, Jordan, 2012). He also developed and co-authored several training manuals in the field of Dialogue and Peacebuilding; including the "Dialogue for Peace Manual: Guide for Dialogue Ambassadors", published by KAICIID and the World Organization of the Scout Movement (2018), and more recent, the COVID-19 Interfaith Guide (2020). Anas developed and managed programmes with an annual budget of 5 to 6 million Euros and led teams of 15 - 25 staff members; delivered work in and/or visited over 75 countries.
He has been accredited PMP since June 2018. He holds a Master degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution from the American University in Washington DC.
