Relational engagement is conceptualized as a higher-order construct comprising three dimensions: legal bonds, knowledge exchange and co-production. This paper aims to examine the efficacy of the construct by testing its influence on buyer–perceived seller brand equity. Design/methodology/approach An online survey of 401 US-based industrial buyers was conducted. Data were analyzed using structural equation modeling. Findings Empirical analysis supports the proposed conceptualization of relational engagement, as well as its influence on seller brand equity through influencing buyer-perceived relationship effectiveness. Practical implications Relational engagement offers a template to sellers for engaging organizational buyers. A relational engagement strategy has favorable implications for seller brand equity. Originality/value Relational engagement offers a comprehensive strat...

It can depict the severity, level, and prognosis of head injuries. Aim: To depict the spectrum of NCCT-radiological findings in cases of head injuries at this center. Material and methods: Noncontrast CT head examination of 518 patients were retrospectively included in the study for the duration of the year 2015 to 2016 and 2016 to 2017 by retrospective screening of the electronic report's data of last two years of about 7000 patients, who had history of head injury as well as NCCT evidence of head injuries and in whom surgical/ clinical follow-up for final diagnosis was available. CT scan was done in all the patients with Somatom Emotion CT (16 slices) Siemens medical systems. Patients included have presented with a history of head injuries and those who were brought for suspected head injuries. Postoperative patients and patients associated with other body parts injuries were excluded as the clinical outcomes of these patients could not be judged because of multiple system involvement. Result: A total of 518 patients were taken among whom 355 were male, and 163 were female with age varies from 1 month to 92 years with a total number of deaths noticed in the study were 13. The road traf fic accident was the commonest mode of injur y. The radiological findings (contusion 15.2% and 3.1%, diffuse axonal injury 2.3% and not reported any case, subarachnoid hemorrhage 13.6% and 4.9%, extradural hemorrhage 8.7% and 3.1%, subdural hemorrhage 15.5% and 11.7%, skull fractures 29% and 18.4%, midline shif t 4.5% and 6.1%, scalp hematoma 8.7% and 24.5%) were seen in males and females respectively. The cases associated with > 4 radiological findings have more associated fatal outcomes than the cases with < 4 radiological findings (p-value = 0.0001). Conclusion: The study enlightens the significant positive findings on the NCCT which is the fast easily available procedure and can be used for early diagnoses and management. Thus NCCT head helped in decreasing the mortality. The more radiological findings showed a significant relation with mortality in the study.

In turn, peer pressure and popularity can potentially be affected by self-concept clarity (how clearly teens view themselves). The authors empirically aim to investigate these relationships using data from a sample of Brazilian teens and find that self-concept clarity has a significant effect on peer pressure, popularity and social consumption motivation, which, by itself, directly affects attitudes toward luxury items. Design/methodology/approach The total sample consisted of 558 teenagers between the ages of 12 and 19 (grades 7 through 12). Hypotheses were tested using structural equation modeling. Findings The results of the study suggest that teenagers’ social consumption motivations positively affect attitudes toward luxury. Originality/value The paper first explicitly examines the impact of peer pressure and popularity on attitude toward l...

The cases of displaced biceps injuries are relatively rare (only 1/6(th) of all rotator cuff injuries). The dislocation of biceps is manifested with pain and restriction of movements. The X-ray shoulder is not of much help in this condition barring for ruling out the fractures of humerus and scapula. Ultrasound is an important tool in the dislocation and shows empty bicipital groove which raises the suspicion of the soft tissue injures. Ultrasound is a problem solving tool when the equivocal findings in MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging) in other muscular injuries also. MRI is the modality of choice in these conditions. The bone and anatomy is better visualised on the T1WI images and the pathology is better visualised on the PDFS (Proton Density Fat Saturation) and the STIR (Sh...

High Resolution Computed Tomography (HRCT) is a common technique for the diagnosis of pulmonary complications in stem cell transplant recipients. There are a large number of complications which can complicate the post-transplant period. To study the role of HRCT chest in stem cell transplant patients developing pulmonary complications, detect any evidence of infection, detect clinical signs of lung infections, Graft versus Host Disease (GvHD) or other regimen related toxicities outlined earlier, detect any evidence of GvHD and correlate these clinical signs with radiological changes in the lungs. The study was a prospective study of 52 participants with indication of stem cell transplantation. The study included recipients of HSCT transplant and the exclusion criteria was patients who failed for engraftment and having an associated history ...

(Verbenaceae) is a perennial shrub, brought to India some 80 years ago from South America, which has become exotic and spread to different regions of the country. All the parts of this plant are traditionally used for several ailments such as antiseptic, antitumoural and antimicrobial. The current investigation was undertaken to explore the protective effect of methanol extract of Lantana camara L. (MELC) against acetaminophen and Cisplatin induced acute renal toxicity in rats. In each model of nephrotoxicities, thirty adult male Wistar rats were evenly divided into 5 groups. Groups I and II served as untreated and model controls, respectively while groups III–V were the treatment groups which were pretreated with 200, 400 mg/kg/day of MELC and group V was pretreated with Vit-E 1 hr before each dose of the nephrotoxicants (acetaminophen and Cisplatin) for 14 days (acetaminophen induced model) and 5days (Cisplatin induced model). On the 15th day (in acetaminophen) and 6 th day (in Cisplatin), blood samples for serum urea, total protein and creatinine while the rat kidneys for histology were obtained under inhaled diethyl ether anesthesia. In the acetaminophen nephrotoxic rats, 200 and 400 mg/kg/day significantly (p < 0.05, p < 0.01,p < 0.001) attenuated elevations in the serum creatinine, total protein and blood urea nitrogen levels in dose related fashion, as well as, attenuation of acetaminophen induced tubulonephrosis. Similar effects were also recorded in the Cisplatin model of acute renal injury. In the near future, MELC could constitute a lead to discovery of a novel drug for the treatment of drug-induced nephrotoxicity.

Drawing upon the customer equity theory, we hypothesize that perceived customer equity is a higher-order consumer evaluation that is measured via brand equity, value equity and relationship equity. A major theoretical contribution of our study is that we offer a novel holistic (versus an atomistic) perspective to retail corporate brands. Additionally, consistent conceptualization as well as operationalization of perceived customer equity overcomes limitations in image-based measures that tend to rely on idiosyncratic approaches to capturing consumer perceptions. We offer a novel mindset to managing retail corporate brands. Our analysis, conducted using a consumer survey, supports our conceptualization of perceived customer equity as a second-order construct. Moreover, we observe that perceived customer equity significantly explains consumer loyalty intentions, and explai...

A conceptual model is developed, positioning consumer self-brand connections as a partial mediator of the effect of endorser credibility on endorsed brand equity. Design/methodology/approach – A cross-sectional survey of 382 consumers of sports drinks in the USA was conducted to estimate the conceptual model. Stimuli, devised on the basis of a pre-test, involved celebrity–brand pairings in the context of the US non-aseptic sports drinks industry. Structural equation modeling is used as the analytic tool. Findings – The research model is empirically supported. Celebrity endorsements impact endorsed brand equity via two pathways. First, a direct effect of endorser credibility on endorsed brand equity was observed, which is positively moderated by the degree of consumer-perceived endorser–brand congruence. Second, self-brand connect...

The gm/ID curves have been computed for a 0.35-μm CMOS process and the gm/ID methodology is applied to computing the transistor aspect ratios W/L for the specified operational amplifier requirements, such as open-loop gain, unity-gain frequency and slew rate. The output stage is designed to drive a 20-kΩ resistive load. The amplifier performance is simulated over wide process and temperature variations to determine the worst case behaviour.
