To date, research on this area in the Middle East has been limited. Therefore, we used a validated self-administered questionnaire to investigate the awareness, perceptions, and reasons for these behaviors among 682 students in health specialties at five universities in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The majority of the students (60.1%) were unaware of the terms “contract cheating” and “ghostwriting,” and 69.5% had not received any prior training on integrity. However, having prior training had a positive effect on awareness levels, and respondents attending private universities were significantly more aware than those attending public universities. The factors that contributed to contract cheating behavior included poor time management, English language difficulties, and a lack of writing skills. These ...

This study involves a random sample of high-school students in Kuwait. Specifically, examines the relationship between video game playing and aggressive behaviors, explores socio-demographic variables related to video games and aggression, and investigates factors related to use of violent video games. Methods: Cross-sectional study conducted on a randomly selected population of 589 10 th grade male students. This study employed a questionnaire composed of socio-demographic questions, video gaming characteristics questions, and the Buss & Perry aggression questionnaire. Results: The response rate was 98.1%. The mean age of the participants was 15.21 with a standard deviation of 0.84. The majority of participants were Kuwaiti. Logistic regression analyses showed a statistically significant association between high aggression score and being attracted to fighting (p=0.029). The number of hours of playing violent video games, whether it be during school days or weekends, as well as the number of years playing violent video games showed no statistical significance with relation to the total aggression scores. Conclusion: It appears that online gameplay and longer playing hours during weekdays (2-5 hours) are associated with lower aggressive behavior. Having a lower GPA and playing video games that contain elements of fighting are each associated with aggression. Further research is needed to explain cause and effect, as well as whether frustration and competitiveness influence aggressive behavior.

Nevertheless, more related studies are needed to solidly corroborate these findings. To the best of our knowledge, no such study has been conducted in the Gulf region and Saudi Arabia in particular. METHODS A retrospective cross-sectional study was conducted at King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Research Centre, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The medical records of 130 patients with endometrioid-type EC were reviewed for clinico-pathological factors (that is, age, tumor stage, endometrioid grade, myometrial invasion depth, lymphovascular space involvement and recurrence) and survival outcomes. Survival outcomes included disease-free survival (DFS) and overall survival (OS). Leukocytosis was defined as a WBC count level >10 x 103 cells/uL. Chisquare test was used for univariate analysis of cat...

Broodstocks were collected from Tigris-Tharthar canal in March and April months. The eggs were obtained through induction of spawning under 22–24 oC, by using spawning protocols of carp hormones. Perivitelline space formed 35 minutes after fertilization reaching maximum 1.8 mm in diameter at about 70 minutes. The first cleavage occurs in 1 hour 10 minutes, blastula was observed in 7 hours. The formation of first somites was observed 18-20 hours after fertilization. The first hatching occurred 55 hours after fertilization and lasts up to 105 hours. The true larvae develop into the juvenile period within about 60 days after hatching. Here we do not adhere to certain numerous developmental schemes but describing the general course of early development of Barbus xanthopterus.

Materials and methods: Ninety intact human mandibular molars were selected for this study, divided into three groups (N= 30) depending on three different martials of lithium disilicate ceramic (L), zirconia (Z) and hybrid ceramics (H) with the thickness of 1.0 mm. Each test groups divided into three subgroups (N=10) depending on the bonded substrate, subgroups (LD, LC and LF), subgroups (ZD, ZC and ZF) and subgroups (HD, HC and HF). Before cementation, discrepancies were measured at the margin (µm) of each occlusal veneer. Silicone replicas were obtained to measure marginal and internal discrepancies (µm) that was evaluated with stereomicroscope at 35X magnification. All occlusal veneers were cemented to their corresponding abutments using adhesive resin cement. After 24 hours water storage and thermocycling for 5000 cycles at 55-5 °C, specimens were subjected to dynamic loading in a chewing simulator with 120.000 loading cycles. Then marginal discrepancies (µm) were evaluated after final cementation. The data were statistically analysed using Wilcoxon signed Rank test and three-way ANOVA test was used for detection of effect of material type and bonded substrate on dependant outcome. Results: After cementation, significantly higher marginal discrepancies were notes in comparison with before cementation. Restorative materials significantly affected on the marginal and internal adaptation. Conclusions: Occlusal veneer bonded to dentin with filling composite showed better marginal and internal adaptation than bonded to dentin with prepared cavity and bonded to dentin. Hybrid ceramic restoration provided superior marginal and internal adaptation than zirconia and lithium disilicate restoration.

Wave-induced oscillatory flow conditions near the seabed were simulated at full scale (1:1) in a new large oscillating water tunnel. Two sets of experiments (series A and B) were carried out. During series A, bed forms and wave-cycle averaged suspended sediment concentrations were measured under sinusoidal waves. Series B focused on measurement of the wave-cycle averaged sediment transport rates under regular and random asymmetric oscillatory flows (upper shoreface conditions) and was aimed at the verification of quasi-steady formulas for the description of cross-shore sediment transport. Bedform dimensions appeared to decrease considerably under the influence of wave asymmetry and wave randomness. Only the measured ripple dimensions under asymmetric waves (series B) showed good agreement with Nielsen's (1979) relations. For most of the series B experiments the bed was plane (sheet flow), the net sediment transport was directed "onshore" and the measured transport rates showed a strong correlation with the velocity moment < U $ >. An empirical quasi-steady transport model is proposed which is based on the new tunnel data and other existing data sets. The limitations of the quasi-steady model approach became clear in the rippled-bed regime and through the presence of a consistent influence of the wave period in plane-bed conditions. In rippled-bed conditions the suspended concentration profiles followed a negative exponential distribution. For most of the experiments the measured concentration decay length showed a linear relation with the ripple height. In plane-bed/sheet flow conditions the measured suspended concentration profiles followed a negative power function. The power or concentration decay parameter was constant (c•-2.1) for a wide range of velocity conditions. It is suggested that the mobile bed (sheet flow layer) has a strong damping effect on the mixing of suspended sediments (turbulence damping). the deformation of waves under the influence of decreasing water depth (wave asymmetry). Also low-frequency waves interacting with short waves may have important contributions to the sediment transport.
