Establishing a strong foundation for a child's healthy development and emotional security begins ... more Establishing a strong foundation for a child's healthy development and emotional security begins with parental support and recognition of the fetus's existence from the outset. The Mother-Fetus Bonding Analysis method, developed by Dr. Jenő Raffai and Dr. György Hidas in Hungary, offers a proactive approach to shaping the quality of life for unborn children during the intrauterine period. This article provides a concise overview of this preventive method, focusing on its potential to navigate normative crisis induced by pregnancy, alleviate anxiety in expectant mothers, and address perinatal and transgenerational traumas. Through Bonding Analysis, we observe an augmentation of maternal feelings of love and joy towards the fetus, concurrently strengthening maternal competence. Our experience highlights the method's efficacy in promoting positive maternal-fetal bonding and lays the groundwork for further research and application in the field of prenatal care.

Az 1950-es évektől kezdve élénk kutatási érdeklődés övezi a szülői nevelői stílusnak a gyermek fejlődésére gyakorolt hatásvizsgálatát, ám a szülői nevelői stílust befolyásoló tényezőkről kevesebb eredmény áll a rendelkezésünkre. A tanul mány célja: a Parenting Styles and Dimensions Questionnaire (PSDQ) kérdőív magyar mintán történő kipróbálása, és a szülői nevelői stílus lehetséges szociodemográfiai, párkapcsolati és pszichoszociális összefüggéseinek vizsgálata volt. In... more The aim of our research group is to examine the protection of mental health during a pandemic. In our April 2020 study, we analyzed the association between stress, health anxiety and self-efficacy in terms of resilience. The study included 684 persons, arranged by parents and their children. Women are overrepresented in the sample. Based on the results, we can say that parental health anxiety and perceived stress reduce resilience. And self-efficacy is a protective factor for both parental and child resilience.

To explore the factor structure of the Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale (MFAS) and investigate its... more To explore the factor structure of the Maternal-Fetal Attachment Scale (MFAS) and investigate its psychosocial and demographic correlates in a Hungarian sample. Cross-sectional survey. Sonography clinic in a metropolitan area. One hundred fourteen women over the age of 18 years in the second or third trimesters of pregnancy. Participants completed the Hungarian version of the MFAS and provided information on demographic, socioeconomic, and pregnancy-related factors. The internal consistency of the MFAS total scale was acceptable (Cronbach's alpha = .87). However, the reliability of the five subscales was low (alpha coefficients between .57 and .74), and the original five-factor model was not supported by the factor analyses. Married mothers had higher scores on the MFAS than participants who were unmarried, and uncertainty about the sex of the fetus was associated with lower attachment scores. The main purpose of our empirical study was to reveal the relationship between the adult attachme... more The main purpose of our empirical study was to reveal the relationship between the adult attachment style, and „sense of coherence”; this notion was used first by salutogenic approach in health research, and show the person’s believe that life has a meaning, a reason. We describe the proper sense of coherence wich characterizes the each attachment style at young adults female. Our results emphasize the relationship between attachment and this important model of health promotion, and offer a contribution for Hungarian adaptation of the self report measurement techniques used.

Aim: Hungarian adaptation of the Maternal–Fetal Attachment Scale, which is the most commonly used tool for measuring intrauterine attachment. Method: 114 pregnant women in the second or third trimester filled out the Hungarian version of the Maternal–Fetal Attachment Scale and an application form. Results: The questionnaire showed excellent internal consistency, with a Cronbach’s alpha of 0.87 for the total score. Married women scored significantly higher and scores increased as pregnancy progressed. Uncertainty surrounding the fetus’s gender influenced attachment in the negative direction. There was no significant relationship between attachment total scores and a number of psycho-social factors.
