Trumpet Creeper -- extremely vigorous vining plant that can take over a whole garden and requires lots of pruning...tempting though, and it attracts hummingbirds. My inlaws regretted planting it. The vines are very strong and would push up through their basement floor. © All Rights Reserved - Black Diamond Images Family : Bignoniaceae Pyrostegia venusta is a popular cultivated vine species which loves full sun and a west facing aspect. Given occasional watering and aspect it will thrive and cover anything it can get established on. On a recent trip up the NSW North Coast I saw this species completely covering lage mango trees and even farm and urban sheds. This one can be seen at Heatherbrae, just north of Hexham on the current Pacific Highway.
