The two major types of cells in the testes are sustentacular cells (otherwise known as Sertoli Cells) and interstitial cells.  Sustentacular cells secrete inhibin which suppresses FSH. These cells are also directly responsible for the production of sperm. Interstitial cells produce testosterone.
