Meski artikel ini sudah 70 kb, jika artikel ini mau dijadikan artikel pilihan, sebaiknya sejarah Gereja Katolik di Indonesia ikut dimasukkan dan relevansinya di Indonesia ditekankan. Mungkin juga isyu-isyu sensitif seperti Kristenisasi dsb, bolehlah ikut disinggung. Meursault2004^ngobrol 08:21, 6 Oktober 2007 (UTC)

Mungkin anda benar. Saya barusan lihat perbandingan artikel2 yang lain. Tapi ada juga paragraf tentang pelecehan seksual dimasukkan di sini. Hal ini kan terutama mencakup situasi di Amerika Serikat. Jadi mungkin bisa digolongkan sebagai kritik terhadap Gereja Katolik Roma. Mungkin hal ini bisa dimasukkan ke artikel tersendiri. Meursault2004^ngobrol 08:29, 6 Oktober 2007 (UTC)

Pindahkan ke "Gereja Katolik"

Saya tidak tahu harus membahas perihal ini di sini atau di Warung Kopi. Saya menyarankan agar artikel ini diganti judulnya menjadi "Gereja Katolik" tanpa embel-embel "Roma" dengan alasan berikut.

1. "Gereja Katolik" merupakan nama resmi yang digunakan oleh Takhta Suci, contoh penggunaannya pada buku Katekismus Gereja Katolik;
2. Wikipedia bahasa Inggris juga menggunakan "Catholic Church", bukan "ROMAN Catholic Church", lihat Catholic Church;
3. Sumber-sumber Katolik Indonesia juga hampir tidak pernah menggunakan "Gereja Katolik Roma".

Saya setuju. Nama resmi Gereja adakah Gersja yang Satu, Kudus, Katolik, dan Apostolik (merujuk pada Syahasat Nicaea) dan dalam KGK 751 nama yang dipakai adalah "Gereja". Penggunaan kata "Katolik Roma" dipopulerkan oleh orang-orang Protestan kalangan Anglikan pada masa reformasi. Sumnerdus (bicara) 7 Juni 2024 07.25 (UTC)
