The image is a watercolor painting depicting a serene lakescape. A misty, ethereal atmosphere envelops the scene, with a calm, still lake reflecting the surrounding forest. Tall, slender trees stand silhouetted against the soft, pale background, their branches reaching towards the sky. The muted tones and delicate brushstrokes create a sense of tranquility and mystery.

Whew, this was a hard reel to make! My process for painting these misty forest scenes feels all over the place to me. (I say this all the time but) I hate planning, so I tend to just follow my intuition and re-work the composition as I go. Trying to explain that process was quite a challenge!

I also find these tiny ones to be a bit more challenging than larger pieces (but I thought a small one would be easier to cut into a reel 😎).

That said, I spent years trying to figure this out on my own so I really hope this is helpful! (Either way, please let me know in the comments. I take feedback well.)
