Mohammad Salay Naderi
Mohammad Salay Naderi (M’10-SM’11) received his B.Sc. in electric power engineering (1996) and M.Sc. (1998) in high voltage engineering from Sharif University of Technology in Tehran, Iran. In 2006, he finished his PhD at the same university which was on partial discharge monitoring and localization within power transformer based on modeling. He joined Energy Systems Research Group in the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW in 2004 as Visiting Research Associate and continued his research until late 2005. He worked with Iran Power Generation, Transmission and Distribution Management Company (Tavanir Holding Co.) as Deputy Director General of Technical Supervision Bureau of Transmission System from 2005 to 2010. In 2010 he joined the School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications at UNSW as Lecturer in Energy Systems Group. In 2013 he started his latest professional career as Senior High Voltage Testing and Commissioning Engineer. He is involved in advance testing and commissioning of power transformers and switchgear and also giving consultancy to Australian and International companies in areas including power products manufacturing, strategic relationship management with industry and academia to foster new business, science and commercial opportunities, high voltage engineering, condition monitoring of power equipment, sustainable energy systems analysis and development.Specialties: Power products manufacturing, Condition monitoring, High voltage systems, Distributed generation, Renewable energy sources, Smart grid, Sustainable energy systems, Transient analysis, Power Transformer, Partial discharge
