Firstly, what part of the back is the Lats? It runs from the top of the hip bone all the way up to the armpit. It’s that big muscle down the sides of your back. 

Focusing on biasing & strengthening the lats is going to really help in a lot of your pulling & lifting motions day-day. Eg pulling yourself up & carrying heavy loads. 

Building strong lats will help to:
