Gelli Arts® Gel Printing on Instagram: "It is DAY 1 of our #MarchPrintingChallenge 🎉

We’re starting off with our very first prompt: CARDBOARD!😊

Gelli Artist® @michelle_mixedmedia took cardboard and tore some of the top layer off to expose the ridged part underneath. She pressed it onto the wet paint on the Gelli Arts® Gel Plate to lift some of the paint off to create random marks. She did a few layers like that with different colors to create paper to collage. Next, she cut some cardboard into very simple bird and branch shapes.

She pressed them into wet paint on the plate and then drew an eye on her bird with an acrylic paint pen. In addition, she pressed a flower applique piece into the paint. She then rolled on her last layer of paint and pulled the print.
